Handy 2 minute walk to subway. But is located in what I can only describe as a ghetto. I was approached by 2 people begging for their next fix as I walked to the local shop on my first day. After that I had to get taxis in and out. You wouldn't want to walk outside at night. Also cafeteria like a cattle market after 7.30am.... far too small for a hotel that size. Also hotel behind sat right in the middle of city view.

The hotel is clean, well managed, and close to Manhattan. I have stayed here about 10 times in the past two years. Very special mention goes to the employee in charge of the free breakfast. His name is Firoz and he is especially helpful and courteous. He not only sets up the breakfast, he helps guests who need help and he clears the tables in the dining room. he is to be commended for the excelletn servie he provides.

The hotel is clean and close to the main sites to visit in NY. The rooms still look like new. The subway is close to the hotel (a 2 minute walk or less) so is a great choice to save time. The only down point is the small room for breakfast, I preferred to eat outside.
I recommend this hotel, a great choice to come back.

Room Tip: Please select a room in the 10th floor to avoide street noise.

We chose this hotel because of the costs: it is far less expensive than the hotels in Manhattan. We didn't expected much more than a basic hotel, and that's exactly what it was. The room was small and a bit smelly because the windows couldn't open. But it was a clean and it was cleaned every day. The room has a safe, what's great. The service at the front desk is good.
Breakfast was good and incluced: not a lot of choice but enough. There weren't always enough tables for everyone, so we shared a table with other people a few time, this wasn't a problem for us.
The hotel is close to a metro station, this is very nice. Manhattan is just a few minutes away.

A good, but basic, alternative for expensive Manhattan hotels.

I've been here with my girlfriend for 11 days while visiting New York.
The hotel is very nice (not too fancy) and very affordable.

+

Clean rooms (including bathrooms)
Fresh towels everyday
Flat screen TV
Good housekeeping (even when removing D.N.D sign after 11 AM, our room was cleaned)
The lovely Manhatten view (select it when booking)
Friendly staff
Good rates
Subway connection to manhatten (10 mins to Times Square)

-

Industrial area
Small cafetaria for breakfast

If you want to see NYC and still spend some money on shopping/food/attractions, this hotel is a must!
You're located in a industrial area but this shouldn't matter if you're here to see the city.
On the plus side, after a hectic day of NYC, you'll like the fact that's it's in a calm area :)

Room Tip: Ask for manhattan view.
