New Yorkers would rave if I put a piece of grass in a cup and set it in the middle of the street - calling it a lovely park.

I'm not feeling it - at all

I don't know what is going on here right now. But it does not look good. What a cool concept to have a park for sculpture. Right now, it looks like a garage sale or someone's back yard. This could be so much better.

I love this place- with views of the East River and ever changing urban sculptures, what's not to love. Can't wait for the Wednesday night outdoor international film. Great place for a picnic and a view.

Living in the city can become suffocating but living near this park has been a real treat. The grounds aren't a beautiful grassy knoll, but that's because it's intended for outdoor art exhibits so the land gets chopped up for installations. Areas around the edges are lovely - they have some small trees and a shady patch in the back by the river and on the other edge near the street are a few benches for taking it the fresh air. The view of the East River and Manhattan are nice.

It's also a great place for kids events - kite making, solstice events, summer movie nights. We have a membership to Costco which is next door so it's nice for us to do something fun before we run errands. And if you're not a member and you need some 'fast food' while you are at the park, there is a concession area attached to Costco with hot dogs, pizza, chicken salad, fruit smoothies. And on the other side of Costco is another park with some limited playground equipment.

If you're coming from the city, I think you can catch a bus on Broadway down to the river after you get off the subway.

I went last spring, it was a beautiful place to walk and take in a nice view. I'm not sure that the pieces that I saw were the most inspiring work in NYC, but it was well worth a visit just for a stroll and a fresh breath of air, with some neat "company" in the form of art.
