Over the years the boardwalk area was cleansed of it's honky tonk atmosphere by ridding it of bars , restaurants, skeet ball parlors, bowling alleys, carnival rides and such leaving it with basically nowhere to get a meal or a drink.
After Sandy destroyed the old BW a new one was built and an effort was made to liven things up a bit by introducing a trapeze setup and Shoresgasboard , a collection of food wagons provided by local restaurants. They are located in an old parking lot in horseshoe type layout with cheap old picnic type tables clustered in the middle.
It's anything but elegant dining.
There is a wide variety of food available but my experience was small portions and high prices.
Since there are no other food options nearby it is your only choice unless you are on a diet and need to skip a meal or unless you are wealthy and can afford to dine at the expensive nearby Allegria Hotel which at least provides ocean views.
