My boyfriend and I first stayed at Mill Creek Cabins in September 2011 after Hurricane Irene disrupted our Outer Banks vacation plans. We had a week off, but where to go last minute, and somewhere that would allow dogs? We had never been to the Finger Lakes and chose it simply because we could drive there. Fortunately, we were able to squeeze in four days at Mill Creek cabins. We couldn't have been more surprised and happy with those fours days. We both agreed that this is the first vacation we'd like to repeat.

In April 2012 we got married and chose Mill Creek Cabins for our honeymoon. We bought lots of wine, we hiked, we rode our bikes (be prepared for hills), we ate at Dano's and Stonecat Cafe, we slept 9-10 hours every night, we saw some spectacular scenery, and we got to enjoy it with our dog.

The property is lovely, cared-for, and well-situated near the Seneca Wine trail and its best restaurants, as well as Cayuga Lake, the Finger Lakes National Forest, and Taughannack and Watkins Glen State Parks. The cabins are cozy and appointed with pretty much anything you'll need (even containers to pack snacks). We ate so well every morning - those breakfasts are amazing. We love being able to dine out (and dine out well) well or stay at home and grill our own food. We also loved porch sitting and having a private fire in the evenings - really, relaxation at its best.

Most importantly, Brenda and Mike are really nice, friendly people.

The dog was disappointed to learn that we didn't actually move there. I guess that means we'll have to go back.

We stayed at Mill Creek May 4-6, 2012. This was our first time, for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were thrilled to stay here. The cabins are immaculate--every careful thought went into making our stay enjoyable-from the cookware/bakeware, to the furnishings within the cabin-to the luxurious jacuzzi in the outdoor gazebo. This place is phenomenal. Mike & Brenda are fantastic hosts. They made our breakfasts-which included fresh fruit, juices, and homemade scones/muffins-the orange zest ones were amazing..to homemade breakfast casserole and quiche/frittata. Mike replenished our campfire wood without our asking, and offered for us to take home the fresh flowers that were left in our cabin and extra breakfast! Take the chance on this wonderful establishment-you'll love it from the minute you walk in the front door.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Aspen cabin-I would imagine Basswood is the same set up.

We have stayed at Mill Creek Cabins at least five times. We keep coming back mostly due to the hospitality of Brenda and Mike. It honestly seems more like we are visiting friends or relatives, as opposed to "renting" accommodations. The cabin is always exceptionally clean, the breakfasts's are wonderful, but we really love going for walks around the "back-forty", with our dog Gunny.. We have stayed there in April once, May once, & October three times, each time has been very enjoyable. Rain or shine this place seems to put us in a very relaxing mood. The surrounding attractions; wineries, parks, lakes are all within reasonable driving distance. We highly recommend Mill Creek cabins...

We have been staying at Mill Creek Cabins for years and always enjoy Brenda and Mike's careful attention to every detail. We travel with young boys and two dogs so the expansive property is fabulous for exploring. Everyone sleeps well, the beautiful breakfasts are delivered to our door in a wonderful basket, and the kitchen is well appointed for any meal we might like to prepare.
We love the porch and fire pit. We feel like we are in our own perfect vacation home.

Mike & Brenda, It's easy to tell you've put your heart & soul into making Mill Creek Cabins a perfect place to stay.  It was the most carefree, get-a-way we've had in a long long time.  The wonderful breakfasts, the immaculate accommodations, and peaceful surroundings left nothing more to want.  It’s been hard to leave each and every time we stay! The convenient location to all the nearby wineries and Seneca Lake is another plus. When we're sitting on the cabin porch at day’s end watching the fire we feel all is right with the world. You are the very best!

Room Tip: Wonderful super large hot tub in a cute little gazebo. Always clean and functioning properly.

I know I have written a review about this place before but we really just cannot say enough about it! We consider it our home away from home and so does our dog, Muggsey. We go once a year at all different times and it has been spectacular every time. Brenda and Mike are wonderful hosts and provide everything you could possibly need. The breakfasts in the picnic basket in the morning are delicious and there is always enough that we can pack a muffin or fruit to take with us for a snack when we are out enjoying the wineries. We love comming back to the cabin after a long day and sitting outside by the fire. Mike always has the fire pit stacked and ready to go for you so all you have to do is light it up! We enjoy walking Muggsey on the trails behind the property and he enjoys looking for the frogs that reside in the pond. We tell everyone who asks us that this is the place to stay if they are going to the Finger Lakes. Our next trip up is in September and we are counting down the days! See you soon Brenda and Mike!

We are getting ready to go to our home away from home for the fourth time. The first time
we stayed in the cabin we were dog-less. We had a great time drinking wine, sitting
outside burning a fire, grilling and eating. The breakfasts that Brenda makes are a great
way to start the wine day off..The location is perfect! Directly between the two
main lakes!

The second time we wanted to bring our dog Muggsey, but he is not a very friendly dog
at all. I spoke with Brenda and she encouraged us to bring him and made arrangements
for me to pick up the breakfast instead of it being delivered. This way the dog would
not freak out. She did everything possible for us to be able to bring our aggressive dog!
And now he has been there twice and it has become his favorite spot ever. He loves the
field in the back of the cabins, he feels right at home when we start pulling up to the cabin.

We are going back again in September for our 4th time..
It is a great place!
