Wagners Vineyard is the best winery on Seneca Lake. It has wine and beer. There is an awesome deck to sit on and has a wonderful view of the Finger Lake. There is also a cafe to eat at. There is a pond with White Swans swimming in it. What a peaceful way to spend an afternoon!!

We were here with a bus tour of the winery region--pre-scheduled for a wine tasting. Beautiful setting. Separate restaurant with wonderful deck. Across the building from the wine tastings, beer tastings were also available; we did not experience that but it would be a nice option if you are there on your own. The tasting room was very crowded--many people standing in rows back from the bar having to squeeze up to get their glasses filled and with nothing to put their glasses on or lean against--so the experience was uncomfortable. It was by far the least enjoyable of the 6 wineries we saw. I didn't find the presentation nearly as informative or happy as those in other wineries. They should have broken us into two groups. I'm sure if we had been here individually, at a less crowded time, it would have been a better experience.

As one of the oldest wineries in the region, we tend to get very crowded in the peak season and fall is a very popular time for visits in the Finger Lakes region. I'm sorry to hear that your experience was tainted by a large group. I hope that you decide to join us again in the future for a more intimate experience. The off-season is a great time to visit and avoid large crowds.

Cheers!

Have been to Wagner Winery each time I go to the Seneca Lake. Their tasting cost is $4 for 6 wines. If you become a Case Club member, tasting is free. They offer a free winery tour, so check their website for times. It is a good explanation of the wine making process.

Wagner's has a great selection of wines from dry to sweet. I tend to prefer sweet wines. Their Niagra is the best in the region. Their wines are reasonably priced. The 1.5L is always a better bergain.

Their view from the Tasting Room and deck is excellent. The view is over the vineyard and lake.

I take visitors here regularly. You will get a nice wine tasting in an interesting building overlooking the lake. The cafe serves very good lunches with wines at retail not restaurant prices. The cellars are well worth a visit being the most interesting in the Finger Lakes region. However beware: this winery is on the bus tour route and can be obnoxiously crowded, so go out of season or on a weekday; avoid weekends in summer and fall!!

Vineyard and Brewery is Great!!! Restaurant ... Super food! Accessibility ... 0 on a 1 to 10 scale, with 10 the highest. Nearly a 3" door stoop. Almost as high at the Winery, but not quite. Needs to be a bit closer to ADA atandards.
