A group of friend had occasion to your some wineries on a Friday in Niagara County USA and were looking for someplace close. We'd heard of Danny Sheehans's -- reputed as the meeting place for Lockport's movers and shakers for decades -- but had never been. The place apparently hasn't changed too much over the years, and that's not a negative. Prime rib was featured, which my wife loved. I never order surf and turf but enjoyed it here. Veggie friends found more limited items for them on the menu, but a good time was had by all. One comment to the staff: put some local wine selections on the list -- you might get more crossover business from the vinotourism. Recommended to locals and visitors.

I love this place - comfortable place where you know what you are getting and what NOT to expect. Steaks are very good, but not excellent. Seafood is one of their claims, but advise you stick with what they get fresh from local. Lockport supplier. Service is always friendly, slap you on the back nice and a little jokey. Desserts are delicious and large. Call ahead to see if excellent illusionist is working -- great entertainment!! In good weather, sit outside.

I have actually avoided this restaurant becuase of the outside appearance of being a tiny dive... but the food makes it worth it! You enter into old school bar area that leads you into a nicer dining area with linen tables...although ours was extremely wobbly. Prices meet the quality of the food, my husband had a delicious prime rib and scrumptious au gratin potatoes. I had fresh bruschetta chicken smothered in diced tomatoes/onions and cheese. Dinner salads were fresh with good greens. The kids menu was inexpensive but the mac and cheese was disappointing. Dessert was cheesecake which was good but lacking, could have used a topping. Overall the food was great, if only the restaurant was updated...

love the place...its' the go to place for a really great dinner at a really fair price. food is always perfectly cooked and is truly the bang for your buck type of restaurant, there is a $20.12 dinner special and it includes several options ie; steak, prime rib, shrimp and scallops and the dinner includes choice of soup, salad and comes with potato and garlic toast

family owned and operated there's a homey, happy tone and all are made to feel welcome. i highly recommend everything on the menu but the scallops are the best and for a full service dinner place you can't beat the $20.12

While at danny sheehans we had gotten there at 5 and didnt leave until 715. We ordered our steaks well done and also medium well when we got it a hour later our steaks were burnt/charred. When asked to get our steak redone we were given a attitude about there well done policy and we continued to tell them well done is not supposed to be burnt or taste charred. The service was horrible and i would not eat there again.
