While we haven't stayed at Lanza's we've eaten there quite a few times and are "regulars" during the summer and fall. The food is consistently quite good and the staff quite pleasant. Criticism is that they only give you enough rolls/bread for the number of people at the table, no "extra," and this seems a little petty to us. We've never stayed at the inn, but we've seen the rooms. While a bit dated, they're clean, and there's an ensuite bathroom in every room. The ambience is rustic and dated, but pleasant, clean and simple. On colder evenings the wood burning stove blazes and warms the whole pub/restaurant area. The chicken schnitzel and stuffed fish are a couple of our favorites. Live entertainment is quite nice when they have it, and a woman who sang just like Karen Carpenter and sang a couple of her songs was a pleasant surprise. The owners are terrific and welcoming. Stop in and eat at this Blast From the Past if you can.
