The Covered Bridge Campground is a small, laid back campground that is all about the quiet enjoyment of nature. They do not welcome large groups, or those who are looking to party.
We stayed on one of the island sites, which was right on the river, and far enough from other campers that we could not see or hear neighbors in any direction. The site was spacious, and had a picnic table, 4 chairs and a firepit. This was a great spot to camp. All we heard was river noise and birds. The price of this site was more than most camp sites, but with the privacy, and included bundle of wood, it was worth it.
The nearby outhouse was clean. There was also a dish washing station and water spigot nearby too. There are flush toilets and showers centrally located - we only stayed one night, and didn't use these facilities, so can't comment on them.
There are a lot of seasonal RVs around the campground, but, again, from the secluded tent sites you can't see or hear anyone.
There were a couple of short hikes right from the campground, and plenty more a short drive away.
We will definitely go back.
