“WIthout a doubt the top Italian in Queens”
Reviewed April 3, 2012

Did you ever walk into a restaurant for the first time and as if you had been there before? Just in the way you are greeted, seated and served, THE BEST! The food, ambiance and service second to none. I would not hesitate to return over and over and bring others as well. I can't praise the dining experience enough. Can't wait to return.

Very attractive venue, good food, but certainly not memorable.

“We'd Never Return!”
Reviewed January 22, 2012

We first dined at Il Bacco five years ago, and were unimpressed, finding the food to be quite ordinary-tasting,so we never returned until this past December. The restaurant had undergone a major restoration, making it quite cozy and inviting.Service was excellent, and we were cordially greeted by Joe,the owner, but the food was nothing special, and we were unimpressed.
We had grilled octopus and clams casino as appetizers.Octopus was tender, but bland, and clams were tiny, and also plain, for such a dish.We ordered, pasta with a veal ragu sauce,(spicy and way too salty, )and a fish dish, with a non-descript sauce and also too salty. The Penne a la Vodka,a basic dish which is usually great in any Italian restaurant, was plain-tasting,in a very pale sauce. Not enough sauce, and no taste. We have no reason to return to Il Bacco.
