We love to visit this restaurant for the view of the river and Brock's Monument in Canada. Some items of food are terrific; others are okay. For example, my husband had the Mac 'n Cheese made with risotto and it was phenomenal. The pear salad is excellent. Some of the other entrees are fine, but not exceptional. (I can't eat gluten so my options are limited, but others I've dined with have been pleased. Not thrilled, but pleased.) The staff we've had are very friendly and helpful. One young fellow was new and really didn't understand the menu yet. When we asked questions about the food, he had to go and find out. It was actually kind of cute because we knew he was learning and he was very happy to get information when he needed it. I'd recommend this restaurant over a place like the Brickyard where the staff are unaccommodating, lacking in knowledge, and far less interested in making your experience a pleasant one...unless you're a college kid and it's Saturday night. Then, go to the Brickyard by all means. They seem to have the loudest crowd and the most incidents reported in the local newspaper.
