If you want to find an Americanized Italian restaurant, this is it! It urks me whenever establishments try to pass themselves off as Italian "cuisine". This place is nothing but your standard, run-of-the-mill pizza joint, where the pizza is edible at best. Do yourself a favor and head up the street to the Tops grocery store, get a Tony's frozen pizza for a buck and you'll be better off.

Brio really needs a good Italian cook. No evidence of one now. They've spent an enormous amount on improving the structure, but that does not improve the quality of the food. Our Italian parents wouldn't eat their pasta. Well, maybe they would because they were poor, but they would swallow ti with a frown.

We at here because we came through Lewiston in the middle of the day on a Monday and basically every other restaurant in town was closed. This was our only option and it was decent. Ordered pepperoni pizza and also a turkey club. Asked the waitress why the town shuts down on Monday and she said she wasn't from around here but wondered the same thing.

We stopped for a drink in the shade at Brio. Went inside at first but no AC on an 85 degree summer day? It was actually cooler outside under an umbrella. We were "greeted" by a server and ordered a pair of beers. I asked about places to go to dinner later in town, figuring she could recommend Brio or another of the places on the main drag. She recommended their steak sub after hemming and hawing, saying she doesn't like to give recommendations. hmmmm... We asked for the check and she told us to come inside to pay. No smile at all, no banter, no indication that she cared whether customers showed up or not. Maybe she needed some AC? Or maybe she just hates her job. Either way, I wouldn't go back.
