“Jello and so much more...”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

Labor day weekend was here and wanted to do something different on the long weekend. Made the trip to Leroy and visited the Jello museum. After being given a very detailed history of Jello, we were allowed to see the history of Jello and the various packaging and celebriries who have spread the word of Jello. Any questions were answered with humor and great info. The docent could not have known more. Undereneath the museum is a transportation museum that gives a nice history and wonderful pieces of travel in the upstate New York area. Again very imformative. Also included in your admission is the Leroy Historical House which is a lovely restored home. You are given a book that highlights all the art and pieces in the house and one is allowed to go at your own pace. What was really nice about the house was that the rooms were not roped off and one was allowed to walk directly into the rooms and touch and feel life of a bygone era. Who would have thought such a find, so close to home.

“Cute stop with friendly workers”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

My friend and I along with our 3 kids ages 4-11 stopped into the Jello Musuem on our adventure to Hidden Valley Animal adventure. We were greeted by wonderful and enthusiastic staff. We enjoyed our walk through the Le Roy historical house and transportation museum as well. At all locations the staff gives you an over view before you start the tour. It was a quick place to visit!

“A great way to stretch our legs”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

We had a long road trip and wanted to find a place to spend an hour or so and stretch out legs. The JELL-O Museum was perfect. It brought back lots of childhood memories and was a cute place to spend an hour. We particularly liked the old television ads from the 60's and 70's.

“Who would have thought?”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

I've lived forty minutes away my whole life and never once considered taking a visit to this museum. When another mom suggested an outing there I thought, "Sure. I guess." This museum was delightful. First of all, the hosts were fabulous. They were friendly and informative. Ruth gave us an animated, complete history in a few short minutes. Secondly, this is a highly colorful, engaging display with a variety of things to keep the attention of all ages.
Lastly, it share property with the Transportation Museum, and the LeRoy house, which are also not-to-miss.

“A great small museum in a quaint small town”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

This museum doesn't come upon the list of things to do in Rochester. It is about 20 miles from Rochester. Strongly recommend it if yo're in the area. The guide explains the history of Jell-o and the museum has many pictures of the early ads and a video of the early commercials.
There is also a transportation display in the lower level which was interesting.
