Labor day weekend was here and wanted to do something different on the long weekend. Made the trip to Leroy and visited the Jello museum. After being given a very detailed history of Jello, we were allowed to see the history of Jello and the various packaging and celebriries who have spread the word of Jello. Any questions were answered with humor and great info. The docent could not have known more. Undereneath the museum is a transportation museum that gives a nice history and wonderful pieces of travel in the upstate New York area. Again very imformative. Also included in your admission is the Leroy Historical House which is a lovely restored home. You are given a book that highlights all the art and pieces in the house and one is allowed to go at your own pace. What was really nice about the house was that the rooms were not roped off and one was allowed to walk directly into the rooms and touch and feel life of a bygone era. Who would have thought such a find, so close to home.
