What a shame that things have slipped so badly since I stayed here a year ago. My room number was 500....here is a list of the problems I had: The coffee maker was not cleaned from the last guest, & the used coffee pack was still in the coffee maker; the security bar on the door was broken & absolutely useless; there is so much chlorine (or some other chemical) in the cold water, that the coffee I made in my room in the morning was horrible; there is a lot of mold around the edges of the bathtub; the windows in the room open up, but there are no screens, so bugs can fly in; the breakfast area for the breakfast that is included with the room shuts down at 9AM on weekdays, way too early in my opinion.

The only good thing was the nice evening front desk clerk.

Sorry, but I'll be looking for a different place to stay next time I'm in the Latham area.

Ok, first the pros: Walking distance of Sake, Carabba's, Ruby Tuesday. Comfortable bed. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Lobby looks very professional, but don't be fooled!
Now, the cons: Dirty on the inside (cobwebs and wall stains), very old facilities (bathtub with rust stains), a/c works but you can't control it, curtains have holes in them. Pool wasn't open.

There are lots of hotels in the vicinity. If you pay more than $50 for a room here, you are paying too much.

Late in the day I booked the last room available, which happened to be their 2-room Presidential Suite. First impression was that it was a bargain price, given the amenities: kitchen with full refrigerator and stove, furnished living room, two flat screen TV's, well-appointed jacuzzi, and king bed. However, a closer look showed the facility was poorly maintained, to say the least: at least 2 burned-out light bulbs, a short in a light switch in the kitchen and possibly the ceiling light in the living room, no working phone in the living room, a lamp with the switch broken off, a non-functioning bathroom fan, and the wireless internet connection unavailable until morning for some reason. Situated on the ground floor and screened from public view behind a thick row of shrubs, I found the large sliding glass windows unlocked when I checked in, which certainly did not make me feel very secure. Forget the President; maybe this would work for an Assistant Undersecretary of the Interior??

Mentioned the issues to the friendly staff at the front desk when I checked out, and they assured me they'd have their maintenance people look into it.

Absolutely disgusted! When we got there we found pubic hair on the sheets and when we called to inform the staff someone came up and put the mattress pad cover over the sheet! The rooms
Are beyond disgusting the staff is rude and the blankets had holes in them like they've been in a cellar for years. When we checked out the very next day and complained to the staff they accused us of lying. I will never stay there again!

We stayed for two nights - one adult and three children. Liked the fact there were two beds and a pull out couch.
Breakfast was adequate.
Paid and booked the room through hotels.com which turned into a project since I was informed upon check-in that there was a double booking. When I checked credit card transactions there weren't just two charges but three. Appreciated the fact that the front desk clerk advised me of the problem. Took multiple attempts to remedy with hotels.com and a number of hours on the phone.

Looking for a decent hotel in the Albany area for under $ 100 / night. This hotel fit the bill: Right off I-87; walking distance to several chain restaurants; decent room. Inside, the rooms are somewhat dated, especially the bathroom, but acceptable and appeared clean. Outside, exterior renovations were underway (new roof, siding), and one would hope the interior is next. (The interior room setup in my "Main Building" room was kind of funky - a couch in a dark alcove faces a small table and refrigerator - not a TV as you would expect. There is aIso what appears to be a kitchen cabinet and small counter near the entry door - but no stool or chairs, sink, etc., and again the refrigerator is much further into the room. In fact the only chair in the room was an office type rolling chair underneath a semi-circle table closer to the TV stand / dresser. None of the furniture seemed to match - think someone needs to watch some HGTV.) The outdoor pool was OK, clean, but maybe time for a new one. Breakfast bar was your typical one, but OK. From what I could see from outside, the rooms in the two outside buildings looked similar inside. I wouldn't call the place great, yet finding a decent hotel in the Albany area under $ 100 / night is difficult. Not a destination hotel, nor a place for that "special occasion." But I thought for the price it was OK, convenient, and probably will stay again next business trip.

We stayed here one night, and that was certainly enough. I will compliment the front desk staff, they were all friendly and helpful. Unfortunately however, there isn't anything else to brag about here. This hotel needs to be renovated completely. The rooms are gross, they had a smell and everything was old and dingy. The shower did not work well at all, it made loud noises and kept shutting off, and there was no way to find an appropriate temperature. I would not recommend staying here and think that they need to revamp their rooms completely. I certainly didn't feel like the hotel had good quality.
