Our travels have brought us to the Albany area many times this year already, and more to come. We've stayed at the Hotel Indigo Latham 3x in 2013. Jenn and her staff are very pleasant, accommodating and this hotel makes us feel at home. the bar/restaurant is very good as well, much better than typical hotel fare. we appreciated the attention to detail they have shown us and they make us feel like special platinum guests. we will return many more times in 2013.

We were only here for a night before hitting the airport in the morning, but I was quite disappointed in this Hotel Indigo. My wife and I have stayed with Indigo before, in other cities, and they exceeded this one by far. A piece of baseboard was nailed to the wall in the bathroom in a horrible fashion. Tile was chipped in the shower and the ac/heat was ridiculous. We had it set to 80 and it couldn't have been over 72 in the room. The worst was how it cycled on and off about every minute, ALL NIGHT LONG. Maybe it was just our room, I dunno. I'm glad we stayed on points so we didn't actually waste any money on this stay. If I'm ever in Albany again, this place will not be my choice.

Was placed at indigo for a conference across the street at the Desmond. It was my first time at an Indigo. The staff was extremely friendly, the whole place modern and spotlessly clean without being fancy or ostentatious. For a clean place to sleep it was great, and is right across the street from the Desmond.

Room Tip: If staying at Indigo for a meeting at the Desmond, it is walk able, but on a very cold day the Desmond has a shuttle to pick you upn and drop you off!

This hotel is quite nice -- very modern, a great front-desk staff, let us check in early. The rooms is contemporary chic and the bathroom large and comfortable. There is no fridge and no microwave. But on the plus side: They give you real in-room coffee with a Keurig and real coffee mugs (I love that). The shower is large and really good. The bed was o.k. For a king, the sheets don't quite fit, but if you're not staying very long, this doesn't really matter.

The leisure center is great--quiet, clean, well supplied and the sauna comfy. But there's no pool or hot tub.

Negatives: The only breakfast is a for-purchase get up in the lobby. It's convenient and has a nice array of choices, but is very overpriced. Location is o.k. Latham, NY is a terrible place anyway, with little or nothing to brag of except malls, the airport and more malls. So ... it doesn't really matter. It's very near the airport, though, so this makes it convenient.

The Hotel staff has to be the most friendly staff I have ever encountered in a hotel, they were always helpful and would go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable! Love the total atmosphere of the hotel and the room was amazing, I really enjoyed the fact that they had a Kerig Coffee machine in the room!!!!!! would stay there again without a second guess!

Room Tip: Entire hotel was quiet and can not here any outside noise at all!
