“24 hour heavy truck traffic from local salt mine”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

This hotel is situated at the intersection of two busy roads and the truck traffic is constant. The management changed our room in the hope of allowing us to have a full night's sleep. We stayed in room 5 and 6, however, our sleep was disrupted by the noise. Each room had single pane windows which did not help. On a positive note, the rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the in-house pub provided good food and a variety of local beers.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at Rogues Harbor Inn. Our room #9 was very comfortable and beautifully decorated with antiques. The Inn has a fascinating history dating back to the 1830s. There isn't an elevator, so be prepared to walk up 3 flights of stairs to the charming breakfast room. The breakfast was excellent - eggs, potatoes, cereal, fruit and freshly-baked scones. Yum! We also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. It has a very complete menu with excellent food and a nice wine list, including many local wines. There was also an extensive choice of beers. We would stay at the Inn again when we are in the Lansing area.

Stayed 3 nights here over a weekend. Although the property looks a bit "sketchy" from the outside, our room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. All three days our breakfast was quite good, and the staff exceedingly pleasant. Having read previous reviews, I knew there'd be some road noise, but it wasn't a problem - particularly if you have the A/C unit on low.

The restaurant was very good, and the sampler of their house beers was a treat! This is a historic property, so there isn't an elevator, so, if stairs are a serious issue for you, this isn't your place.

Room Tip: Third floor is likely a bit quieter, and is on the same floor as the breakfast service. It does mea...

nicely appointed rooms. Absolutely horrible breakfast. Wouldnt have fed it to a dog. $200 for a room and no attempt to serve a fresh breakfast. Stale bread, pastries. Premade eggs from the day before that were inedible. Told the person in charge. They did nothing and offered no recompense. STAY AWAY!!!!

Room Tip: many nicer B and Bs in the ithaca area

Our family stayed for a full weekend at Rogues Harbor, booked in three rooms. The experience was fantastic. Rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfasts were great, and the restaurant downstairs was delicious (especially the beer!). Highly recommended.

When we pulled up to the Rogue's Harbor Inn, I thought we were at the wrong place. There was a restaurant/bar and the Inn entrance was around back. I wasn't sure how the lodging would be with bar below our room, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room (#3) was decorated beautifully with a very old fashioned decor. A folder in the room gave the Inn's history which made the style of decorating even more unique. Despite the fact that the restroom was down the hall, our room was comfortable and quiet!
There was no sound from the restaurant below, even though it was a busy Saturday night.
We'd eaten prior to arriving, so we didn't sample anything from the restaurant, but breakfast the next morning was in a beautiful upstairs dining area. The food was local and delicious. I would stay here again if I am ever in the Ithaca area!

I stayed here when dropping my daughter off at school in Ithaca where the hotel rooms were sold out, not to mention the price hike for a 'special' weekend. Anyways, Rogues Harbor is about 15 minutes outside of Ithaca and kind of remote but that said the Inn is really lovely. My room was spacious, clean and the bed really comfortable. There was a TV with cable, which many B&B's dont provide. They have a full bar and restaurant which is a big plus. The staff were all very nice and they serve a great breakfast till 10:30 during the week. The building is really quite unique and charming. I would stay here again and recommend it if trying to avoid Ithaca's price hikes for drop off, parents weekends etc...
