Bluesun Hotel Marina
Ranked #2 of 10 Hotels in Brela
Reviewed July 4, 2013

We stayed in BS Marina in a second time.
I would recommend this hotel for family with kids and mid aged people .
Rooms are comfortable, clean and relatively big. No flat TV. ))
The biggest balcony on the first floor and smallest one on
fifth floor.
Meals at hotels' restaurant very tasty, especially dinner!!
Beach in front of the hotel not too big, but there are a lot of small beaches on the left and right sides.
I would recommend to stay on Punta Rata beach, 250 meters from the hotel on the right.
Sea is beautiful, very clean as always in Croatia.
Fitness room badly equipped , so better to go to BS Soline.
They have nice fitness room with good brands equipment . So you can do yours workout almost like at home city)))
Cost for one day 40 kuna , for 15 days 150 kuna.

Dear Servey,

Thank you for coming back to Croatia again and staying with us in Marina !
Also, thank you for sharing your experience. We are happy that you enjoyed the location, and appreciate your compliments on behalf of the restaurant.

You are correct, some of the amenities in Marina are a bit lacking in space and quality, hence the reason why we arranged for our guests to use the facilities of the neighboring Bluesun hotel Soline (swimming pool, fitness, wellness & spa etc.).

We would be truly honored to welcome you again next year ... I have to say that many of our colleagues in the industry, including me, were unhappy to see our dear guests from Russia and Ukraine having to go through the hassle of obtaining Visas. We hope that you were able to handle this well enough...

Enjoy the rest of the summer...

Kind regards from the sunny and warm Brela. Hope to see you again next year !

I agree with everything you said Pavel294474.

We stayed in block A and our accommodation was quite ok.
The room was clean, beautiful beach (with natural shade) in front of the hotel, food was varied and tasty, our children were entertained with a rich animation program...
I was pleasantly surprised with the service of this hotel with *** and the normal price for half board.

One of the best location in Brela. Quiet place, hundred meters to the sea, very nice food, friendly and helpful staff. As for me the only reason why its a 3* hotel is the construction of buildings. If you stay at building A or B lower than 3rd floor, you will feel like in jail - neighbours windows and balcony will be at 5 meters from you. So, block A is more or less ok from 4-5 floor, B - seaview, C - the best one, all rooms are seaview. If you don;t care about the room and come back just to fall and sleep - any room is ok. Otherwise insist on seaview option.
Excursions are very expensive everywhere in Brela, so better rent a car.

Room Tip: Book room in building-C, ground and 1st floor are the best choice

Brela is a magical place. Beautiful nature, clear calm sea, nice people.
Hotel Marina is OK hotel. I stayed there in August 2012.
The hotel is located right at the seaside. The beach starts right by the entrance stairs of the hotel. Beaches are free, which is nice, but you would need to pay for an umbrella or a chair. THis area is pretty crowded in summer season so you would need to get to the beach a little earlier to get a better spot.
Room was clean, however too hot. After reading reviews decided to ask for a room on the upper floor with a better view on the sea. I got the room ont the 5th floor and it was HOT. Conditioner wasn't really helping. Even at night it wasn't getting any cooler since the roof was still hot. If you decide to stay in this hotel, choose a room on the lower level with seaside view. You might not be able to see the sea, but it would be significantly cooler than the room on the 5th floor and less noisy than the room facing the mountain since there is power generator that creates a bit of noise.

Staff was very friendly. Had an accident with a bat flying into the room and concierge got there to help us get it out. It took 3 calls though to get him there since the main languages are Croatian and German. Fewer people speak English in this hotel.
Food is decent. You can get a package with breakfasts and dinners included into price. Breakfasts are better than dinners. For breakfast you get regular brunch buffet. For dinner they serve fish, meat, vegetarian food, fruits and vegetables, desserts. Again, food is OK, but not great. You would have to pay for the drinks and even for the water.
One big downside. Internet is available only in the lobby and it isn't free.
Bus stop located in 15 min walk up the hill.

Room Tip: Higher floors are too warm. Sea-side rooms are quiter.

When organising my trip to Croatia I found myself with one day between my stay in Split and the ferry to Ancona Italy. I had considered Hvar but one day wasnt long enough. When we arrived the receptionist look at us and told it was a mistake to only stay one night. He was right. Brela is a very beautiful place and I could have stayed a week. The sea is so clear and the views spectacular. The hotel is brilliant value with a good buffet breakfast. Dinner was also good value at about €8 for a varied buffet. The waitress looked a bit grim but was actually very nice when she smiled. If staying longer it would be good to eat at some of the other restaurants some nights. The only problem really was getting to the place. The bus from Split (about 45mins) dropped us off on the main road which was about half a mile or more down hundreds of steps. Difficult with even hand luggage size suitcase. Then no signs to the hotel. The hotel called a taxi for us to take us back to the bus stop as going back uphill/stairs would have been a nightmare. I would advice anyone going here by bus, to contact the hotel for a taxi to get down and get off the bus at the first turn to Brela. No pool but was told I could use pool at sister hotel next door. Hotel right on the sea front so didnt need to.

Very good location. Quiet at night, close to the beautiful beach-50m. Short walk to the small town. Room was rather small. Small TV, no bide in bathroom. Room was very clean, with balcony. We have a "non see view", with quite loud central A/C station somwhere outside. Not a big deal. Master bed big&comphy, additional one not so good. Food. Planty&diverse, but do not expect high-end cusine for dinner; out of bag "smash potatoes" and beef soup. Fish soup, salads, beef in souce, pasta quite good. One free drink at dinner should be included in price. Breakfast? I was on high-cholesterol diet :), but there was planty to choose from; eggs, hot-dogs, diff. kinds of salami, pastry, vegetables, panckakes, dairy products, cereal, ... you name it.
Nice one week stay.

A large, family orientated, package holiday hotel, built in three blocks.   Buffet breakfast in refectory style dining room was perfectly adequate. The hotel is part of a group situated on a steep, wooded  and pine-scented slope to a narrow pebble beach.  A  paved walkway runs the length of this stretch of coastline and links the hotels and guesthouses to the small fishing port of Brela. There are a scattering of restaurants and quiet bars here - drinks served to you sat on deck-chairs on the beach. Our room was spacious, clean, with  a great shower (no bath) and a decent balcony over-looking the sea through the trees. Although the hotel is fairly standard, the place itself is worthy of a holiday.
