We stayed at The Aiyana for 2 nights on a recent visit to Pemba. Aiyana is situated in the top North of Pemba on an idyllic white sand beach. After a 1 1/2 hour journey from the airport through the fascinating countryside and unspoiled forest we arrived in paradise! Wow!
The design of Aiyana is unique....very artistic, with rooms and communal areas beautifully and sensitively located to maximise the views of the beach and turquoise blue sea from every room.
Our suite was large and private, with private terraces, indoor and outdoor bathrooms and an comfortable living area.
We went for walks along the beach and swam in the ocean, almost alone but never lonely!
The highlight of our trip was the food....utterly delicious, imaginatively prepared and presented, majoring on seafood. We marvelled at the ability of the Mauritian chef to produce food of such an exceptional quality in such an 'away from it all' location.
Truly relaxing! We'll be backMore
