Mabuda is an oasis of comfort on the road from SA to Mozambique, or for any others travelling through Swaziland. Situated on a hill just outside of Sitecki, it offers restful hospitality in a traditional farm like setting. The accomodations (cottages) are fresh and tastefully decorated with colonial antiques. The rooms are spacious and most have very pleasant views. The hosts are exceedingly gracious. Nice swimming pool for hot days. Highly recommended in all respects.

Room Tip: Call ahead and tell them what you need.

Dear Guest ,thank you for taking the time to enjoy the beauty and restfulness of Mabuda .It is indeed a piece of colonial history tucked away on the Lebombo Mountains.Yet, very accessible to travelers either going north/ south or east into Mozambique.

We stopped over for one night on our way from Kruger to the coast. The farm is lovely and Helen was accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately our room was terribly, terribly musty. It caused an allergic reaction among one of us so there was no way we could have possibly stayed a second night.. Grandpa's Garden was a delight, as were the four dogs that accompanied us on walks about the property. If it weren't for the allergic reaction, I would rate this much higher. Siteki is a quirky little town but everyone was friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your review,we have susequently called in the thatchers to attend to the possible cause of the musty smell .They attended to a leak and removed some rotting thatch .

Despite your untimely departure we are glad you had time to enjoy the walks and dogs !

When next in Swaziland we hope you will stop by .

A beautiful place to stay. Several of the bed & breakfast huts are furnished with the owner's antiques adding a very Colonial touch to the place. There is a community braii (barbeque) area, a pool and many places to walk (don't miss Grandpa's Secret Garden). Also, horse-back riding is available. There are also camping spots for back-packers. It's about halfway through Swaziland so is a great place to stop overnight on the way to/from Kruger. The local town has a pretty good supermarket if you need to get supplies. And you can't beat the views...and the sunset...and don't miss the peacocks in the tree by the check-in office.
