Service was poor & I expected the food to be better. The view from inside the restaurant was the best part of our dining experience.

One of the best of Lake Placid's downtown restaurants. Excellent food combined with great service and atmosphere. The food was phenomenal. An appetizer of Scallops Rockefeller (huge, perfectly cooked scallops topped with spinach and pork belly) was followed by pork chop and NY strip for the
entrees. A thick chop and perfectly cooked (medium rare) steak both tender beyond expectations. Each course timed to our liking from appetizer to dessert and coffee (a welcome difference from some of the other cramped and hurried restaurants in town). Great views of kayaks and paddleboards criss-crossing
Mirror Lake with mountain peaks as a backdrop. A busy bar and cozy couches and chairs for mingling while you wait to be seated. Highly recommended.

Happy hour for great red and wine. The bartender was full of information regarding sites and other resturants. She had a great smile and was cheerlful.

My sister and I loved the new location, didn't think the atmosphere was "so-so" at all (the opinion of a previous reviewer). Food was excellent, fresh and well-prepared. Good-sized portions. We probably could have shared the steak sandwich. We went for dinner, but plan to go back one day to enjoy the lunch menu. Our waiter, Dunston, was personable and attentive. The food may have come out a bit on the slow side, but we were entertained by al the action on the lake: kayakers, swimmers, paddle boarders...it's really hopping !

Had lunch here and the food and wine were amazing. This is a must visit. I wish we had been able to have dinner here because lunch was phenomenal and the pricing was very reasonable.
