“A Real Nice Surprise with Good Music”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

We had gone to Delta Blue one time before for just the music and enjoyed the venue. On this visit, we were able to have some dinner prior to the music starting at 9 PM. This is a "rustic" bar/grill in the Adirondack mountains. The theme is "woodsy" because it is located inside the "Northwoods" Inn. Very casual place and local watering hole on the Main St. of Lake Placid. Both times we have been there the place was packed and the waitresses were on the "run". Under those conditions, the service was okay-they tried to get you your drinks and food in a timely manner. On this visit, I had the TOLO entree salad, which was delicious, but a bit pricey at $13.00. Maybe add a piece of cornbread? My hubby had the Philly Steak Po' Boy and added fries for $2.00. His dinner came to $12.95. His meat was well seasoned and a good portion. The fries were homemade and very good. Wine was $6.00 a glass and soda was $2.50 which included a refill. When the music started at 9 PM and the dinner crowd thinned out, we were able to table hop for a better view of the stage. On our night, we saw a great group who played the blues with excellent guitar work. Dinner and great music for $40.00. What a great date night.

“Not impressed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2013

Considering this spot was located right in the downtown area of Lake Placid I was surprised to find the food was not very good and the decor was run down and kind of dirty. For all I know this may be a hoppin’ place to go clubbing at night, but to visit at another time was disappointing.

“Good food. Our waitress worked hard”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

We went here on Oct 1. I was excited because i love po,boys. Got the fried oyster one . It was very good. It came in a timely manner. The restaurant though felt very hectic almost on the verge of collapse. Not sure why it was not even full. Our waitress was the only staff member who was in control, maybe some retraining on busing tables and deep breathing would help, cause the food was good. I would go again.

“They ignored us and we walked out”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. There were several waitresses and a man tending bar. One of the waitresses told us she'd be with us in a minute. My wife asked if they could put on a particular football game and the waitress sent us over to the bartender. When we got the bartender's attention, he gruffly said he'd change the channel when he got a chance. We stood there for around 15 minutes between the bartender and the waitresses and not once did anyone move to seat us or to put on the football game we wanted to watch. Finally, we left and found food and football elsewhere. I suspect I'd have more patience for this if the restaurant was busy, but there were empty tables all over the place. I don't give bad reviews often, but I wouldn't go back in that place.

“Horrible!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

I was so very disappointed in this restaurant!

They were able to get in a party of 7 right away which was nice but the niceness stopped there.

They forgot one of our orders and when one of us ask to substitute broccoli instead of fries we were never told it would cost an extra $3.50!

Horrible. The waitress was lucky that they included tip.
