After a weeks stay we found Pan Dolce. Wish we would have found it on the first day. The food was the best we had during the stay and was also beautiful ! Such attention to detail and wonderful flavors. The service was excellent and for the quality of the food the price was great. We had eaten at many of the resteraunts downtown and spent less at Pan Dolce for much better quality. When we return to the Adirondacks , this will be our First stop. Don't miss the desserts and pastries either!

I visit the area frequently, and there are some good places to eat in the Lake Placid area, but, this place is special. The food is a step above most of the areas restaurants, and the menu contains a wide variety of delicious meals. I highly recommend it.

After buzzing around Lake Placid looking for a decent place to eat, we went off the beaten path beyond Main Street and found this place up the hill next to McDonalds. We ended up going back a few times. It's hard to categorize this place, is it a restaurant, bagel shop or bakery - all of the above, I guess. I highly recommend the grilled salmon sandwich (or grass fed beef burger). If you are having dinner , the Morocan chicken is exceptional. Make sure you have a cupcake to finish. I think these cupcakes are better than Magnolia or Crumbs.

Saw this new offering in Lake Placid and we liked it so much we went the next day, too. We went for breakfast each day and were very happy with the eggs and a fantastic ham, brie and spinach omelet. The homemade corned beef hash was fantastic and the pancakes are huge and tasty. They sell them one, two or three on a plate. I'm not sure if you could finish three of them. They brag that their coffee is great and with good reason. I couldn't get enough of it. It's a nice, spacious place and some acoustic music to ease you into the day.
