“Too long to wait for average food.”
Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

Waited to get seated and greeted by waitress. No knowledge of beer being served. Ordered and had to ask where our food was. Very poor service. Burger was good, steak sandwich was tough and flavorless. Better choices in town.

“No customer service”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Had to wait for a hostess to show up. Then was told it would be a 10 minute wait. The people next to us said that they were told 10 minutes also, but they had already been there 25. Several groups of people came in and when no one helped them they left. Some did give their names to the hostess, but left when she never came back. There were about 10 empty tables, most of which were not cleared. When the hostess did come back after we had been there about 35 minutes she said that the kitchen was backed up and when she got the okay from them she could seat people. Some people had seated themselves at the bar and did get served food. Two people who were seated near the hostess station said that their food was good, but not worth a huge wait. When we did not see her again for about 10 minutes, we left.

“Romantic dinner for two”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

As we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly hostess. She seated us outside on the patio overlooking the lake. Within seconds later, our server came to our table telling us the specials of the night and before we knew it he came back to take our order. After he took our order, another server came and set a candle on our table along with all the others creating a romantic setting for couples to enjoy time together. Next thing we knew, our appetizer came out and was brought to our table. Our server asked if we needed anything else. Ten minutes later, our food was brought to our table and the server asked if he could refill our drinks. Previous restaurants that we have been to, our servers have not asked about refills or even came back to check up on us. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

“Great Breakfast at a Reasonable Price”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

We stooped here for the convenience as we were staying at the attached Golden Arrow resort. The breakfast buffet at $9.99 was a real bargain and the eggs Benedict for $9 was yummy. The ambiance and service were first rate as well.

“Great Sunset Over Lake Placid with Great Food”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

For our 3rd night we decided to eat at an upscale restaurant. We agreed afterward that we had made an excellent choice. We made a reservation, but in off season it wasn't necessary. We were seated at the window overlooking Lake Placid. While dining the sun set behind us and we watched the shadows climb up the East side of the lake. The full moon then came up over the ridge. We started with a glass of wine. I had trout - wonderful. My wife had filet mignon - wonderful. The cheesecake desert capped a fined dining experience. Well worth the price of the meal. The service gave us time to enjoy the view, relax with the wine after a long day of sight seeing and it arrived in a timely fashion between courses.
