We haven't had such a wonderful stay at a B&B in a long, long time. First of all, our hosts, Mary Pat and Tony, made us feel so at home from the moment we entered this awesome B&B...and that never stopped throughout the course of our stay. Our accommodations were wonderfully comfortable (we had the Jenny suite) and the Irish breakfasts outstanding, especially since Mary Pat had kindly taken the time to provide for our gluten free diet. The wine and cheese hours were so much fun with Mary Pat and Tony's informative, interesting and funny facts and stories about beautiful, historic Lake Placid as well as some of Tony's Olympic bobsledding adventures. The Inn is extremely well decorated and envelopes you with its rich history and coziness at every turn. Despite the below zero temperature during our stay, the Inn was warm and cozy. Restaurant recommendations by our hosts were right on and they answered any questions we had about anything. We were given a tour of the beautiful Inn, played backgammon in the loft above the Great Room and met our new dog-pal, Bennie! I could gush on and on for paragraphs about this place and its owners, but let me just end by saying that our hosts' warmth and genuine concern for our comfort and happiness made this one of the most relaxing brief getaways my husband and I have had in ages! We will definitely return!
