I feel compelled to write this review, despite the fact we didn't even stay here.
My wife and I just spent 4 days in Lake George with our two very young children. We planned to visit Santa's Village on our way home to Montreal, and thus booked a night at Maple Leaf. However, as is sometimes the case with very little kids, they were worn out, and we decided to skip Santa's Village. The owner of Maple Leaf graciously cancelled our reservation without charge, which we had booked 24 hours earlier.
This kind gesture needs to be acknowledged. When we plan our next trip to Lake Placid, we will definitely stay at Maple Leaf.

No frills but none needed! We spent 5 nights here and would not hesitate to stay here again, Barbara and Rod are the perfect hosts. Upon check in we went to our room where a bathroom light wasn't working. I went to the front desk to report the problem, and Rod got to the room before I did and had the bulb replaced immediately. Small stuff, but it makes an impression. The rooms are spotless, mattresses like new, sheets crisp. The location is just the right distance from the hubbub of Main St. but well within walking distance if so desired. Lake Placid is a great destination, and the Maple Leaf Inn a wonderful place to stay.

Simply a great place to stay. The owners are amazing people. The hotel room was spotless and they go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. I stayed there in two rooms with my wife, kids and my parents for the Ironman in LP in July 2011. The hotel was perfect for us.

The pool was great. The location is perfect and the rates are very reasonable. Barb (one of the owners) even gave a ride to my friend and I to the start area for the ironman at 5am on a Sunday morning. They really are great people. It was like staying with family.

We stayed at the Maple Leaf Inn the week before the "ironman" race. What a wondeful place! The room was always clean and the pool was nice and warm. Rod and Barb are the NICEST people you will ever meet!! They answer all of our questions and they do all of the housekeeping and ground work themselves!! They also went above and beyond to make our stay so great!!! They know what great service is and we can not wait to go back next summer!!!

We stayed by Rod and Barb only one night. The room and bathroom was clean, tidy with all You need - towels, soap, shampoo, hairdrier. At the room we had frige, coffee maker, coffee, sugar, cups. Room was at the middle of the long building, facing to the courtyard, calm place. There is heated pool, very clean, surrounded with flowers. At the end of the courtyard there was also gril option. Rod and Barb were very helpful, being around, talking to guests, cleaning pool and area. I´d like to very reccomend this place to everyone.

Stayed 3 nights in this nice inn at the end of the main street of Lake Placid, about a 10 minute walk.
The grounds are well kept and there is a pool, but still a little cool to try it out! Room was a decent size, a little dated ..... but good tv, and the place is very clean. The room also has a fridge. We don't hang out in rooms when we travel ..... so ambiance etc was not what we were looking for!
Owner is a really nice guy, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
