We were thrilled to see the mementos from the 80 Games, but this museum is quite small. Lots of artifacts from the 34 Games, as well. Fun to see the rink where our men beat the Russians for the gold medal. It's wild to see how small the arena is compared to today's arenas.

It was okay for the women. They got to see the outfits the athletes wore for the opening and closings. They played the USA hockey game on the big screen tv that the people were gathered around. It was a nice place to stop. The ice rinks that they were practicing in and playing hockey were there also and something to watch.

Well worth doing even if you're not into 'touristy' bids of travelling. Our guide Sean was very good. Try not to get emotional after watching the last two minutes of Al Michaels and the 1980 'Miracle on Ice'

Ok - pretty interesting as we love the winter Olympics. However it seems a bit amateur - especially for the USA who usually do,this stuff so well.

As others have said it's one big room, but it does have lots of historical stuff, if you are into Olympic or winter sports. It's a little expensive for what it is, but then again everything in lake placid is. They even charge if you want to go and watch kids practice on either of the ice rinks.
The museum can be done in 15 minutes unless you get hooked on watching the miracle on ice video which runs constantly.
