Arrived at the venue around 11am and it wasn't crowded at all. Took the chair lift up to the top of the hill and then the elevator to the top of the ski jump. What a view...amazing!!! Makes you really appreciate how brave these ski jumpers are. The employees are very nice and will instruct you as to how to get on the chair lift if you're not familiar with it. The elevator ride to the top is fun and one side of the elevator is glass making for some fantastic views.

Around 12:30pm, it started to get crowded just in time for the jumps into the pool. Fun to watch and I thought the British host was charming. At 2pm, the nordic jumpers take to the smaller of the two ski jumps and there is great viewing available in the bleacher seats to the side of the landing area.

There is a gift shop and a place to get food, but beware...cash only at the food concession!

It's a fun few hours and the nordic jumpers will pose for photos and give autographs after their jumps. If you have teenage daughters, they will love this! The ladies from the US rowing team were sitting next to us at the pool jump area. Amazing to see all these incredible athletes.

There were also giveaways with some great prizes during the pool jump portion of the show. Plus, free samples of Vitamin Water and free bbq ribs from a local restaurant.

Fun day!

Every one was so nice here its was well priced as well. We bought the olympic sites pass port which i recomend for everyone who is coming to lake placid its 32 dollars and gets you into all the sites olympic. I wish we were told this at the Bobrun. You get a Chairlift and elevator ride up to the tallest ski jump on a clear day its so beauitful. We also got to see skijumpers in the pool which was a bonus.

This is a great place to take kids. There were hundreds of them there, seemingly mostly groups of girls from various summer camps. It was fun to see some of the skiing acrobatics into the pool, but you have to be willing to pt up with the mildly annoying announcer. Again, it is great for families with kids!

Quick visit, maybe 40 minutes total. Caught the tail end of a practice session in the pool. Worth going if you're interested. I would say a more interesting view than the top of Whiteface via the gondola. Obviously not as far a view, but less obstructed. also recommend the gondola at whiteface for a fun ride.

we didn't run into any actual skiiers, if we'd had more time we would have planned better. But we had half a day in Lake Placid and packed in as much as we could. We paid $11 each to get into the complex...that paid for parking, chairlift to the jumps, and elevator to the top. What sold this to us was driving through Lake Placid and seeing the jumps appear out of nowhere....so neat!

I have never been on a chairlift and these things look ANCIENT but were quite safe. Make sure to turn around and check the view out on the way up. It's breathtaking and on the way down it seems it goes by too fast. The elevator to the top was quick and all glass so you got to see the countryside on the way up. Once you got to the top I couldn't understand how the athletes could concentrate because the vistas are just gorgeous. Make sure you take the hidden stairs to the landing on top to see what it looks like right before you go down. So impressive.

You only get to go up one of the two towers, but it is the higher one so that is fine. Make sure on your way back down that you take a picture on the winners blocks....the view of the mountains behind you is breathtaking. Once you get down to the bottom turn around and look where you've just been, it's crazy how high it is.

Again, wish I could have seen some of the daredevils!

OH! And a tip, if you are scared of the chairlift like one child was (understandably) I guess there is a way to drive to the top to avoid the chairlift.
