This was our second visit to this wonderful river safari lodge in the Caprivi portion of Namibia, located directly across the river from Botswana and an easy trip from Victoria Falls.
The lodge manager John and his all African staff are absolutely top notch. The animal and bird sightings by pontoon boat are a delight and a relaxing change from safari lodge jeeps and landrovers.

There is nothing quie tlike the sight of a huge herd of elephants,of all ages, including tiny baby elephants, in the water and about to swim across together from Botswana to Namibia or back and the unforgettable silouette sight of a tower of giraffes performing their special gymnastics to bend down to drink from the Chobe river.
Go there and revel in this wonderful place and meet and enjoy the friendly down to earth Namibian people.

It was an absolute pleasure to have you spend time with us in our home. We truly enjoyed being made a part of your odyssey as we got to both share a bit of our cultures with you and your family.

It makes us so happy to learn that our tranquil boat cruises made your safari even more memorable as they brought you closer to the beautiful game around the river especially the elephants which swam across to Namibia from Botswana. we have passed all the great comments to the team.

We look forward to have you staying with us again.

All the best from the entire team at Chobe Savanna Lodge.

What an amazing place. The boat ride in was the start of a wonderful couple of days. The welcome was warm. The accommodation was very comfortable and each lodge was very private. The staff spoiled us throughout our stay. We were treated to a celebratory dinner and birthday cake accompanied by the staff 'choir'. John and his team have to be praised for running such a wonderful lodge. The boat trips and nature spotting were out of this world, we couldn't get enough of them. The staff made us feel at home and we were very sad to leave.

Loved this location. The staff were all really great. Food was good to excellent. Rooms were fresh and clean. The only issue I had was that there was no phone from the room, a stand alone chalet, to the main lodge. We had a slight problem with the netting above the bed falling down and no way to get it back up.

Thank you so much for sharing this lovely feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Being in a remote area we don't have telephone cables in the lodge but we do however have air-horns in the rooms. We do apologize for your netting situation and our housekeeping ladies are keeping them in-tact.

We hope to welcome you home again.
Best wishes from the Chobe Savanna Lodge Team.

Chobe Savanna Lodge is in a beautiful location surrounded by a lot of animals on the riverbanks and grasslands beyond the river.
Very peaceful place to relax and unwind... Nice to visit a local village and learn about some of their customs also.
