We stayed at Ngepi camp for 2 nights. I would recommend at least a 3 night camping stay for this establishment. Lovely campsites ON the Okavango river. Some have private ablution and washing up areas. Book in advance for these. Very nice excursions. We can recommend the bird walk with a VERY knowledgeable guide. The sunset mocoro trip was also unforgettable. Nice restaurant and bar. We can recommend this establishment!

We stopped to camp at Ngepi on our way down to capetown from Kenya. We couldnt resist staying an extra couple nights as it was so peaceful and beautiful with campsites right on the river. Absolutely ideal. It had very convenient amenities and had a great rustic feel. Very refreshing after having seen so many 'commercial' style campsites. There was hot showers, and electricity by solar a very impressive set up as there is no mains electricity around at all. They even had internet. The silly signs kept us entertained around the camp and the bar area. The swimming pool in the river in ingenius. There were gorgeous jettys everywhere on the river bank to enjoy the sunrise or sunset or spot the hippos/crocs.
we were recommended this place by many travellers and will continue to recommend it.

Room Tip: If you are not camping there are amazing river side stilt huts with ensuite bathrooms...

We camped on the banks of the Okavango River at Ngepi for 3 nights. The green grass camp sites was a real pleasure. Christopher, the in-house Bird Guide took us on a lovely tour and shared with us his amazing knowledge of birds and other local stories. It was a real pleasure to spend time at the restaurant area with other campers to share adventures and experiences - complimented by free wifi and coffee!! We had a lovely sunset cruise on the river on a Makoro boat surrounded by hippos, crocs, etc. a bit unnerving when our friends fell over!! But we all lived to tell the tale. The Divine bathrooms is truely devine, however tend to loose some of their attraction when it is pissing with rain. Overall an amazing experience, definitely to be repeated.

The Ngepi camp offers camping right on the shores of the Okavango. What makes this place special is the love to detail. You will find a lot of funny signs and things you won't find anywhere else. Like some of the toilets where you got a spectacular view of the jungle.
It offers free wifi, dinner, drinks and a really nice athmosphere. And the best of it: It is eco-friendly!

We stayed at the camp in January 2014 and what a nice surprise! Bird life is exceptional! We stayed on the river in a chalet (tree house) that can open up in front completely which was a first for us. Really a unbelievable experience. Will definitely visit again. We also visited the campsite and can strongly recommend camping there.

A must see campsite! Caters to overland trucks, site has power, water, braai and fireplace.

A special swimming pool floating in the river, crazy toilets in open air, and a general crazy funky funny feel to the place.

friendly staff, environmentally aware, goor prices.

I'd go there again.

We stayed for 2 days...... including Christmas Day!
We had a fantastic treehouse right by, almost over, the river which was just great. We got a lovely boat trip at sunset on Christmas Eve to see the hippos of which there were many. Then on Christmas morning the colours in the sky at sunrise were amazing, even if getting up to photograph it was a bind. Then the staff did Christmas lunch for us, where all the groups who had booked had separate tables laid out with their name, a bottle of sparkling wine and a small gift. It really made Christmas for my wife and I and the food was good too!! Thank you Ngepi.
I am tempted to give this an excellent rating, but they don't do Christmas Lunch every day and other than that the service and location was just good so I feel a 'very good' rating is fair.

Room Tip: I think we had Treehouse 8..... which is right by the river.
