“Do not miss the opportunity to stay here”

An amazing stay. We stayed for three nights in a room made from a cave. It was a wonderful experience, enhanced by the amazing staff. The food was excellent. The location is isolated which makes it so peaceful at night and relaxing in the day. A great base to explore Todra Gorge. I will be staying her again.

One of the highlights of our two week Morocco trip. In the narrow gorge between the high mountain walls you feel a liitle bit like beeing at the Alps. Not the Morocco you expect, but the totally right place to relax for a day or two or a half day of afternoon sun (come early, because of the narrow gorge sun disappears early). The Auberge has different kind of rooms from cave to rooms in a stone building. Spent little money more not to stay at the budgets rooms above the restaurant but in the other building with own terrace and enjoy. Rooms are not big, but are very clean. Same with the bathrooms. Beds are little bit short, that might be not very comfy for Long people. For some rooms you have to climb many stairs. Dinner tasted very good, was reasonable priced and was taken with all other guests at the very cosy restaurant which was lit by many candles. This atmosphere is worth the trip. Staff is very friendly and helpful. after diner you will sit together and make music. Bring a song with you. Wait with breakfast until the sun climbes over the ridge of the gorge. So nice to sit outside in the cool morning sun. We think about to come to the Auberge for another longer stay.

The staff at Auberge le Festival welcomed us warmly and were attentive and gracious throughout our stay at this unique auberge in Todra Gorge. The cave rooms are beautifully appointed and cozy, each with its own bathroom. We had a lovely dining experience, with delicious food that included vegetables from their organic garden, and then magic tricks, music, and dancing by the hotel staff which we were invited to join in. The auberge offered a unique experience of Moroccan culture and hospitality in a beautiful setting that no one should miss when in the region. Stay for two nights to truly relax or to hike up the sides of the gorge for some amazing views.

Room Tip: Tower rooms are beautiful but may catch the wind in the gorge. For coziness, try a cave room.

After a 10 euro taxi to the Todra Gorge we came upon Auberge le festival. What a gem! We stayed in a budget room which was totally great because we were on a budget. Everyone working here is so nice, they all smile and laugh and joke with each other. Abdoul was very kind to show me how Berber eggs are made and let me pick my own herbs for my tea. The food was the best on the whole trip. It was a great break from the madness of the rest of the Morocco. We met some very nice families staying here as well. The owner also kindly drove us back to the bus station at the end of our trip. We attempted a hike one day but it wasn't easy to stay on the trail but the gorge is beautiful.

This is a fascinating place built on and in the side of Todra Gorge.

Our cave was cozy and comfortable even on a cold December night. it was also clean and nicely furnished.

We were given a lantern to light us up a steep flight of steps to an excellent dinner served by friendly helpful staff.

The owner of the Auberge has made a hiking trail on the other side of the gorge and we enjoyed climbing this as far as a walled enclosure for animals- however it's not a place to wander around in the dark as there's a deep unfenced pit nearby.

Room Tip: We didn't look at any other rooms but I loved the cave.

Worth the drive past Todra Gorge if you have a car. Nice place and nice service, a different place that kind of looks like a castle.

The people were really nice and it is quite and spacious. No wifi but it was worth it for a night, and we should have eaten dinner there but elected to get it at Hotel Jasmine in the gorge. Regretted that later.

Loved this place. A veritable castle in the gorge. The Moroccan owner is hands on and great to sit down and chat with. (He has a degree in English literature). We were here in Dec so I was a bit concerned that the cave might be damp or cold...WRONG. It was warm and cosy! We stayed here for two nights. Totally relaxing. Hiking in the area is fantastic and right at your doorstep.
