“Good for a short stay.”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

My husband & I were there overnight. It was good for the price & for 1 night it was fine. It was clean & the bed was very comfortable. The rooms could use some updating. We had a room on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator. My husband who is 5'8" was almost as tall as the shower head. Both the commode & sink were so low as if made for midgets. There was a safe, iron & ironing board in the room. The one thing that caught my attention was that there weren't any rugs. The floors were tiled which, according to my thinking, could be kept cleaner & little chance of bedbugs. The only downside is that the floors are cold so foot covering is suggested. There is a dining room but we didn't eat there so we don't know how the food is.

Excellent location. Found through coupon book at New York Welcome Center at special rate of $49.99 for 2 dbl. ground floor. This is off season(Sept. 24) , outdoor pool closed however the indoor was open along with the restaurant. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Close to many attractions n the lake itself. Quite quiet considering it was high occupancy during our stay. The breakfast was reasonable but while in the area try some of the other breakfast places.
The pool n swing set is a plus for people with families.
They also do a show in the evening ( which we didn't see) n have a bar for adults. The pool side service was a plus. The rooms were standard, clean and the bathroom everything worked.
A good stay overall.

Location is excellent. Near everything especially the lake George village. It's a little bit outdated but clean. The rooms have a musty smell. The polynesian show is average not worth the money you paid for, for the dinner. You get what you pay for. It's not a horrible experience.

Stayed there one night. Got the room through Hotwire. Hotel is and looks old. Smells humid. Rooms are not sound proof at all. You can hear everything next door. Beds were comfortable. Clerk at front desk was not very nice.

We stayed at the Tiki Resort for one night as we were passing through Lake George. I must admit that I had pretty low expectations and my husband and I were joking around about the name and concept. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The décor is kind of fun. The hotel appears to be divided into several parts and is certainly reminiscent of a motel and not a hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. My only concern was that I did see some mold in the bathroom (of course, I was looking for it after reading all of the reviews warning about the mold in the bathroom). I think that this is an OK place to stay, especially if you are just in town for a day or two. I would be opposed to staying here for a week, however.

We booked The Tiki online and went in with low expectations. It cleared the bar. We stayed in the main building on the second floor--I'd definitely recommend requesting an upper floor to avoid being walk-in level with the parking lot. The room was spacious, clean and looked recently updated, although the shower tile looked worn. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and full queen size. The location is great: Walkable to Lake George Village and the Lake George Steamboat Company.

We attended the show. It was pricey at $42pp++ and the cocktails were watery and expensive. The food was horrible, but we didn't expect greatness. It's kitschy and fun and we felt like we got our money's worth from the show. The family that puts on the show works hard and they're talented.

The property has a small indoor and larger outdoor pool. They got a bit crowded, but that's to be expected. No lifeguard. Towels can be scarce.

If you're going for a short visit to Lake George and don't require four-star accommodations, the Tiki is an affordable, clean place to stay. We felt like we got our money's worth.

Room Tip: Book an upper floor.
