not a bad place in LG area.....easy drive into town...quiet away from village....but it's also nice to be right in the village....there were some nice outlets you could walk to, which makes killing time okay....i guess the 2 biggest complaints would be price...way overpriced (but you're stuck for this price for this area if you want a decent top 10 hotel as per tripadvisor's ratings), but to pay more for LG than NYC - a bit preposterous.....the 2nd complaint would be the hall rug...way past the point of being filthy.....luckily the filthiness does not extend into the rooms themselves....front staff and everyone at the hotel was helpful and very friendly....we had a bathroom door problem which was fixed promptly which is always a good thing.....all in all i'd stay here again, no problem

Nicely furnished and spacious. Staff is unusually friendly and helpful. Pleasant spot for complimentary continental breakfast. Very convenient to Great Adventure, Warren County Bike Path, and Outlets. Cons: no elevator.

Hotel was very clean and bathrooms were impeccable. Breakfast was excellent and eating area was also impeccably clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with rowdy guests which was quickly taken care of by the hotel staff. Book early if you want a suite. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Lake George.

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great continental breakfast. The hotel had a great location as it was located right next to many outlet malls. We will definitely be returning to the Clarion hotel again :)

The Clarion Inn was right in the middle of the outlet shopping about 3 miles away from the public Lake George beach. We did not spend a lot of time in the room other than to sleep but the room was so comfortable. It was new and clearly well kept. Our maid Kim kept it clean which is hard when you have 3 little ones running around and Jeff at the front desk was so helpful when it rained on one of the days he was well informed with many options of indoor things to do with the children. We were just trying to make the most of our stay and really feel like we were on vacation. Since we had our 3 small children with us we had the 2 bedroom suite which had a microwave and a refrigerator. That mean we could keep the milk cool and warm the bottles when we needed. It was just a wonderful stay and I will stay there again.

Allow me to start off with saying that my family and I were hoping to switch our arrival day by a day earlier, and the friendly staff could not have been more helpful in accomodating us, we were changed to a bigger suite and given the option of changing back to another suite if we didn't like this one, but we stayed where we were.
Check-in was a breeze, the staff was very friendly and helpful, one drawback was that the hotel is smack dab in the middle of 2 outlet malls. The room was very spacious, clean plenty of towels, a/c worked perfectly.
Drawback to the room was a sort of odd smell whenever you walked in, kind of cheeseburgery if you will.
We did continental breakfast the first 2 mornings BUT we will NOT be doing it the next 2 mornings....as we caught one of the staff/servers there pushing down trash in the trashcans with her plastic gloves on , THEN WENT TO ARRANGE FOOD AT THE BREAKFAST BAR WITHOUT CHANGING HER GLOVES !!!....we notified the front desk immediately...as someone who worked in the food industry for over 16 years, I know that is far from sanitary.
Six Flags was OK in general, the kids liked it, there were some lines, but they moved rather quickly. Prospect Mountain was well worth the $8 charge to go up and check out the beautiful scenery of the area, took the Steam Boat ride on the Mine-Ha-Ha, very relaxing and informative and have done the obligatory mini-golf,go-karts and laser tag, just to name a few......the village is crowded and full of quirky/tacky gift shops, plenty of variety of food in the area. Breakfast at Suttons Place in Queensbury was excellent, btw and 5 Guys Burgers and Fries was awesome.
All in all this was a good vacation, the Hotel was OK, not as stellar as I have read in previous reviews on here...I think the next time we come, we're going to venture up past the village area to stay in one of the rental cabins up there.

We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and several members of her staff. All were cordual and attentive to the needs of all the guest. The owner was excellent! The food and resturant was very good. My friends and I ride motorcycles and have stayed at other Hotels in the past. None were as nice as this hotel and this is where we will be staying from this point on. The price met our need, the location was close to all attractions. The owner took into consideration our motorcycles and provided us rooms that allowed us to keep and eye on the motorcycles. This was greatly apprciated. We have already decided to stay at this hotel on our 2011 ride.
