We enjoyed our stay. The pool and outdoor lunch/bar area were very nice. Most staff was very friendly. The room was small but comfortable. We had a room on the side of the building and it was very quiet. Only negative was breakfast at the hotel. Not impressed with the breakfast buffet (cold food, long wait for rubbery waffles) or the waitstaff (inattentive, forgetful) at breakfast.

My family and I never been to Lake George before and since there isn't any big chain hotels (right on the lake) we decided to give this hotel a try.

Upon arrival, they gave us a room near the main road. I ask to move it closer to the pool and they did with no problems.

The room was ok (nothing special). It was clean and no major issues. There was some paint missing on the ceiling and also per another review, the curtains in the room interfere with the A/C. To solve that issue, we just put a shoe on the curtain to hold it back from interfering with the A/C. The shower has boiling hot water if you like to take hot showers. However don't flush the toilet because it will go ice cold. The room also had one of the old CRT/Tube type TV, not a flat screen.

The location is absolutely perfect. Has it's own beach, good pool and decent parking. You can walk to everything from this hotel (restaurants, arcades, shops) and even McDonalds (have young kids).

If you go to Six Flags Great Escapes they have tickets for only $27 dollars for their guests.

With this all said, this isn't a "luxary hotel". However it seems to be one of the best available if you want to stay on the lake.

We traveled to Lake George for the first time. It was beautiful. Free Concerts in the park and fireworks every Thursday! We paid $330 a night for a room on the private beach. But the beach held a BIG jumping playhouse for kids! The first morning I woke up to someone elses underwear under my side of the bed! They didn't do much about it.Breakfast was boxed, yes frozen boxed waffles and pancakes! Won't be back anytime soon.

Dear Guest,

Greetings from the Georgian.

We at Georgian Resort wish to make every guest's stay comfortable. On investigation, we place the following findings.

It makes it difficult for us to correct things if not told promptly and brought to our attention. The housekeeping issue cannot be verified and corrected now. Our Suites have the highest cleaning procedures and our best Chambermaids get to clean the Suites.

The boxed waffles that is mentioned here needs more elaboration. Waffles and Pancakes are put out for the breakfast buffet during season. The other spread includes Eggs Benedict, Bacon, Sausages, Home Fries, Scrambled Eggs, Juices, cut Fresh Fruits, Muffins, Danish, Croissants, Bagels and Assorted Pastries. This entire spread is put out everyday in season.

Please enable & empower our potential guest to know about the entire picture when the reviews are written.

We always go forward and ensure that guest stay is enjoyable.

We had a room right on the lake, advertised in the hotel's web page as quiet, but there was an inflatable slide run by a noisy generator in front of our room all day. The generator was even noisy in the room with the windows closed and the air on. Upon arrival I found cobwebs behind the nightstand and the ice bucket was filthy. The toilet handle was broken and we had to jiggle it every time to stop the running water. Neither the coffee nor the glasses were replaced for the second day. I left a customer service card at the front desk and was told management would call. When that didn't happen I sent a personal letter to management. No reply. Apparently they didn't care about the complaints or comfort of their guests. It was a pricey room and I expected much better than this. I would never say here again.

My husband and I have been vacationing in Lake George for over 20 years as a couple, then with our family and now our extended family. If you are looking for a hotel located within walking distance of the village, on the lake, with an extremely wonderful pool and bar area overlooking Lake George, then this is the place. There's a small area on the lake to go swiming and this year a blow up slide was put on the lake for the little kids to slide down into the lake. That was a nice surprise. It was big enough for my 13 year old son to slide down too! The hotel feels and looks more like a "motel" and is not at all a "resort" so don't be mislead by the name, but it is very nice overall. I do have to say, the last 2 years I have had mixed reivews at this hotel, but have given them another chance. I attributed that to a change in ownership/management? Last year was the worst, all 4 rooms we booked had cleanliness problems and restaurant problems but when we complained the problems were fixed. I was assured by by the manager (who I speak with every year and is a wonderful person) that this would not happen again, so I booked 4 rooms this year and were once again very happy. No problems whatsoever! Over the years, I have tried other hotels in the Village which were less expensive (not by much because during racing season everything is higher) or the same price and have been VERY disappointed. I will be back next year! from Levittown, New York

Stayed one night on August 21. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Room was on the second floor close to the main road (far from the lake) and overpriced for that place. Wet carpet, dirty windows, bathroom in bad need of updating. Small TV from early 80th. Very noisy - wake up in the middle of the night with a feeling that someone walking across the room - was our next door neighbor making trip to the bathroom. Can hear water running, toilet flushing, neighbor's conversations, kinds screaming, etc. Fridge is really small and hidden into the same entertainment center where TV was. The outside corridor had old, wet, moldy, rotten, slimy carpet.
The lake was quite a walk and there were no beach, just a small piece of land for about 3 people. The pool was very small.
To get to the center of the town took about 15 minutes.
The only good thing was bed - hard and comfortable.
Definitely not a resort! Cheap 2 star motel would be a more accurate description. If in the area, book Marine Village Resort next door.
