We booked through Priceline and ended up here. Of course, it isn't a 5 star hotel, but for what it is, it is excellent. The staff were most friendly, breakfast excellent, free wifi reliable, and nice pool. Once I checked in, I went back to the car and told my husband the lady was so nice I'd stay here again in a minute. After seeing the room, having breakfast, etc. I definitely stand by it. It is right off the highway, so maybe not best location if you are looking to be walkable to everything in town, but perfect for what we needed. The breakfast included eggs, sausages and waffles. Would stay here again for sure. The people are fantastic.

Hi,
We recently booked Best Western at Lake George through priceline.com during this year's President's day. We drove 300 miles to reach there from Pennsylvania and had a very good time whole day. When we went to check-in at night, they said you don't have any reservation with us. Upon investigation from priceline it was identified that they booked through their sister company booking.com and they sent the reservation note via fax to the hotel. And guess what, they misplaced the fax.

All hotels in 50 miles radious was sold out on that night and We were seven friends and had to drive 50 miles to find a place to stay. It was one of my worst travel experience ever due to irresponsible people working at this hotel. And I had to escalate this matter to their corporate head quarter just to hear that we are sorry after 3 weeks. So, please please be advised to stay away from this hotel. You may end of having no place to stay!!

Choice hotel's management is too good in this matter. I've had good experience with them for all situations.

WE stayed 3 nights in the Ultra suite for New Years eve weekend to ski Gore. The staff was amazingly helpful. The ultra suite was huge. Sleeps 10. Huge sofa by TV, pull out sofa by fireplace, pull out sofa in loft and 2 BR upstairs .Had 5 teenage boys in room with all the snowboard equipment and still had lots of space. Big Plus, 4 flat screen TV's. So big you could live here. Christie was great with reservations and info. Lovely woman in breakfast room.

Room Tip: Go for one of the suites if you have lots of ski/board equipment to store.

We stayed at the Best Western Lake George September 29th.-October 3rd. and we can't say enough of how great the stay was, especially the staff. One staff member was extra special. Sue at the Guest Desk went above and beyond the call of duty from being pleasant at check-in and check out to offering to print boarding passes for our flight to sending back 2 blouses to our home that we had inadvertently left in the closet. All the staff that we encountered were also pleasant and helpful. Thank you again!! We highly recommend this hotel and want to say thank you!

Stayed at The Best Western Lake George, September 21-23. The Hotel is located literally on the exit 21 ramp of the Northway. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, and a free breakfast buffet that offers cereal, waffles, eggs and the usual bagels donuts coffee etc. The Hotel appears to have been updated recently, and is kept very clean. The staff is average, not overly welcoming. The rooms are nice, and have plenty of space. The showers are impossible to regulate temp. Basically you have to put the cold on full and barely crack the hot. It literaly takes a few mins to adjust and you can easily get burned. So be careful. The rooms are very noisy, as you can hear everything going on around you. People walking in the hallway shake the floor as they walk by. You can also hear the people in the next room with no problem. We listened to the guy next door as he struggled with a cold or alergies. It quieted down as we went to sleep, so it didnt keep us up all night. The maids come knocking at 9am, so hang your do not disturb if you looking to sleep in. As far as location, you are about 1 mile from the village and lake. We stayed knowing this, because it was off season and we were going to be driving all over anyway. If your looking to be in the village, this is not the place, you will need to drive there. All in all not bad, a clean place that suits the need, just nothing special.

We had stayed in Lage George several times, but this was a first for the Best Western. At first we were a little concerned because our 'pool side' room faced the closed outdoor pool, which is in the parking lot. Because of the way it was promoted, we assumed our room was pool side to the indoor pool. The rooms are not sound proof; we heard the people in the next room coughing and sneezing all night. But aside from that, I must say that our stay was very enjoyable. The staff was amazing and every question or need that we had was met. Unfortunately we had some car troubles and the staff offered us a ride so that we could keep our dinner plans. This was exceptional as our dinner plans were 15 minutes from the hotel, and they returend to pick us up. The following day we still did not have a car and the hotel staff was ready to store our luggage, and help in any way possible. Yes it's rustic, but it's the Adirondacks. We will go back!!!

Stayed one night (2 rooms) in Sept 2012. Overall satisfied but not thrilled. To begin with, it was rather hard to find (especially if one is travelling north on route 9) as the signage is limited. The staff were helpful and the rooms were fine; obviously well-used, but nothing wrong with them. Beds comfortable; internet good. The breakfast area was jam-packed on Saturday morning. The offerings were pretty good and the attendant was working very hard and being VERY helpful (she deserved her tips!!). I would have preferred a motel within walking distance of "downtown" Lake George, but really, this is only a 5 minute drive.

All in all, this was fine. A bit expensive for what we got, but OK.
