“Best Labor-day party ever with beach, pool, jacuzzi, live music...”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Boulders Resort is located 1mile from Lake George downtown and it's right on the lake with own private beach. Own private dock. And complimentary canoes, kayaks and pedal boats. The pool is heated and the position is so great you can seat by the pool enjoy and have a view of the lake it's a such a moment to catch and to remember. The stuff is very friendly and very helpful trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
I was there with my friends for Labor-day at the big party. We had a blast so amazing time. Big Lincoln limo took us from home and drove us trough Lake George downtown to Boulders Resort. We already start the party inside the limo. Everyone welcome us with big smiles and greetings and give us short guide about the resort. We use the free pedal boats, canoes and kayaks. We swim in the lake then the grill and barbique was ready so much different food including sea food as well. We swam in the pool and sit at talk at the jacuzzi. Played volleyball and have lots of fun. We were honored to do free tubing all friends together by the owner who took us out with the boat. And much more good time... can't wait to go back there again!

Last minute mixup with different rental landed us at The Boulders. I am a single mom, traveling with my 2 teenagers and 4 of their friends. I needed 3 rooms at a minimum and a kitchen. We were fortunate to get a cabin . Rooms were not luxurious and somewhat outdated, but were fine for our needs. Cabin was clean and roomy. No bugs. Full kitchen. Full use of our own BBQ.. Lake front activities included (kayaks, canoes, rowboats, pedal boats)...you get your money's worth if you just used one thing a day. We exceeded this. 2 outdoor pools one with hot tub. Some grassy areas for frisbee or wiffle ball. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice bbq lunch provided (for free) one afternoon. Laundry room available. Continental breakfast one day, not too good, but nice gesture. You do have to cross a busy road to get to the main pool and lakefront, but it is doable, just need to be careful. We are hoping to go back next year.

Room Tip: I have nothing to compare it too, but would ask if you can see the different types of accommodations...

My 3 girls and I stayed for a week in one of the cottages. A little outdated decor, but clean, did not see any bugs. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only on Sat night was there a little noise with kids playing basketball. Parking no problem, never had any problem getting a chair at the lake or the pool. Loved the BBQ grill outside cottage and all the free things during the week. Would definately go back and would recommend. Not a single complaint.

If you pick the motel rooms, know that you must cross a busy road to get to the main part of the resort and lake. A family who showed up was very unhappy and asked us to reccommend a resort on the lake because they had small children. The check in room is small and was very crowded and hot. The room was not ready by 3:00. The air conditioner never really got the room cool. The furniture was shabby. We could never get WIFI; reception said they were working on it. I liked it better when it was The Dutchess; at least the prices were cheap.

My family and I stayed for two nights in that horrible place. The receptionist assigned us two rooms across the street from the main resort. The area around looked dirty. There were cut down trees around the unit. The rooms smelled horrible. When I called the service room to ask if there was something they could do they told me that they will send someone .After two hours I had to call again because nobody came . About one hour a worker came and sprayed the rooms . However, the odor was the same after a few hours. We tried to spend as much time as we could outside of the rooms. The smell was so bad that we had to wash our clothes once we got back home. We did not have any view of the lake and we needed to cross the road to have access to it. The WIFI was only available in the computer room. The rooms did not have telephone for us to communicate to the service room. The price that we were charged was too high for the the rooms and activities offered.

We stayed at the units across the resort, the motel units. They do not have a good view of the lake, you have to stay at the bottom of the "resort" for a decent view. The first day we were there the pool at the top was totally full. My family with young kids were essentially kicked out as a bunch of grown men were trying to jump over stacks of chairs in the pool!!! This totally turned me off given ths was our first day. We decided to use the pool at the lower end and that was nice, except for the steep hike to get there. The rooms were old with outdated furniture. Carpets had stains. The A/C was leaking water which made the room smell. We did get cleaning service in the rooms. Keep your doors shut, alot mosquitos around and some bugs in the room. The kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats were great and no charge. They also gave ice pops to kids in the afternoon which was nice. Given the room conditions and the property away from the main resort, I think the price was more than what I would expect to pay.

Our family of 5 just returned from 2 nights and stayed in lodge 17/18. The room had 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a kitchen, living room and 2 covered porches. The property was well maintained and although older our room(s) was very clean. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed use of the paddleboats, kayaks, grills and loved the free popsicles in the mid day heat. The view of the Lake was beautiful and the heated pool was very welcomed. Many free things for children to do and we all enjoyed the nightly "camp fire" although kindling would have made it easier. we will definitley be back for a longer stay next year.

Room Tip: All the rooms on the Lake side seemed nice- our family would avoid the rooms across the busy road if...
