We spent 2 nights at the Heritage - motel is super clean and well maintained about 10 min walk from the main shops and beach. A grocery store - Price Choppers - is a block (about 5 min) away. Each room is equipped with microwave and coffee machine. All spotless. Outside each room is a small table and chairs for sitting around. Rooms are well insulated and we never heard any noise from the rooms next to and above us. There is a small grassy area with chairs, a gazebo and table - looks bigger on the website than it actually is - but a nice spot for breakfast. Continental breakfast is mostly cake, donuts and nutrigrain bars. Nice touch to offer hot chocolate at night. The pool is located on the same side as Canada street; not very private nor peaceful with traffic right next to you. We added an extra night to our trip and stayed at a motel on the lake. In comparison, the Heritage was more expensive but had more modern rooms and was cleaner overall.

On a spur of the moment trip, traveled to Lake George without a reservation. After two hours of searching lake side, found the Heritage and was very happy. What caught my eye first was the great curb appeal. Very pretty, bright and CLEAN looking. It has a beautiful pool area complete with a gazebo, picnic tables & multiple outdoor grills. Although it was not located on the water as we had hoped for, the nicest place we had come across and were only staying for one night. Our room was on the small side but all we needed and had turned down a larger space on the second floor for an additional $30. It's a great location if you plan on spending your evenings in the village.

Just got back from a long weekend in Lake George, overall the trip was great, Lake George is a lot of fun!! However I was very disapointed with the Heritage... it was clean and the grounds were nice but the rooms are DATED!!! Old brown carpet, the furniture has to be original to the hotel, tiny room, very dark, the bathroom was tiny with ugly wall paper and no shower head the water felt like needles hitting you. How can this be rated #2?? I make all my travel/hotels by what I read on this site and everything has always been dead on.... but not this time. Would never stay there again. We traveled with 4 other friends who stayed up the stree at the Howard Johnson Tiki... I didnt choose that hotel based on the reviews on this site, but we checked out their place and in my opinion the Tiki was not far off from the Heritage!

We stayed here for a day in August. I have stayed at other Lake George hotels and had been in the past less than impressed with the level of cleanliness of these hotels. However, the Heritage was SPOTLESS. We were so impressed with how clean the bathroom was and how clean the hotel itself is! The staff is great, very friendly, and the hotel is very clean. My daughter (age 5) thought it was great! Definely would recomend to families or anyone traveling in the Lake George area!

It was a last minute long weekend vacation so we were limited on places to stay. Heritage was perfect b/c it was right in the village within walking distance to everything. If I went back I would prefer a hotel on the lake but nonetheless this was a great place. I wouldn't recommend the trolly!!! What a nightmare, not reliable and a complete waste of time.
