“An evening of fun!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014 via mobile

The food was decent. It is served table side. You may be sitting with strangers but the family we sat with were lovely. The play had a great storyline that anyone can identify with. The actors were unexpectedly great. All in all it was well worth it. Look around town on an info rack for $9 off per person and they also give discounts for seniors 60 and up.

“You'll laugh, you'll cry”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

When a blizzard traps a family together in their tavern in Buffalo, NY, both comedy and drama ensue. The Lake George Dinner Theatre's production of "Lake Effect" at the Holiday Inn is funny, poignant, and very well acted by a cast of professional actors. The theatre is intimate, so even when there's a full house (as there was the night I went), no one is far from the stage.

The dinner served before the show was good banquet-type fare, offering a choice of beef, salmon, chicken, or vegetarian lasagna. The price of the dinner and theatre is $69, but at some of local establishments, you can find ads (rack cards) for $9 off.

“What's Not to Like?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

Had not been to dinner and a show at the theater for several years. Went to see this summer's show Lake Effect, partly because the setting was Buffalo, NY in 1977 during the blizzard of the century, but mostly because it was an anniversary gift.
Both the show and the dinner were a pleasant surprise. The dinner choices were good, the service was very good, and the food quality very, very good.
This was only the second night of the new show, and I must say the actors were high quality and the show a great combination of humor and thoughtful drama that definitely had the entire audience engrossed. I did not see any idle chat that you sometimes see when an audience is bored.
The Theater is a really good venue and the show worth attending.

“Not your average holiday inn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2012

You'll realize the minute you pull up front this is not your average Holiday inn. Great views of the lake, fire pit aglow, and a wonderful bar and featuring. The dinner theatre is great with all tables near the stage, never a bad vs how and the food extraordinary. Service is impeccable and the salmon. Chicken choice or beef entree as good as any local restarant. Almost guaranteed of a wonderful night. The only mistake you may make is not actually staying here to enjoy all the ambiance and friendliness of one of this national chains best properties. And don't miss the best buffet in town on Fridays when Chef Michael presents a great seafood buffet.

“Terrific Show with Topnotch Actors”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

What a wonderful show! And the actors were so talented! We really enjoyed our dinner! The food was great - huge piece of salmon with a delicious dill sauce. Not a bad seat in the house. We will be back for next year's show.
