Owner description: During a 1791 visit, Thomas Jefferson was moved to say, "Lake George is without comparison, the most beautiful water I ever saw." Not much has changed. Today this 32-mile long, 3-mile wide dazzling lake draws vactioners who come to enjoy a plethora of outdoor endeavors including sailing, swimming, cruising on historic steamboats, hiking and more.

Not a lot to do. Lots of miniature golf. Beautiful and quaint. Not worth a 5 hour trip. Good to recall some of my childhood, but doubt my children will have any lasting memories.

Thank Linda C

Minigolf and food! Also there are two or more great bars if you are in to craft beer. The minigolf is expansive. For food they have good sushi, Mediterranean, steak/seafood, french and breakfast.

Lake George is very beautiful lake while you travel form/to New York-Montreal, it is close to Albany and close to Hwy 87.An outlet in that area with 2 sandy beaches recommended to travelers.

The lake was beautiful and the village was a great place to take the kids! There was Fort William Henry, arcades, Mini gold, and many little shops!!
