Owner description: During a 1791 visit, Thomas Jefferson was moved to say, "Lake George is without comparison, the most beautiful water I ever saw." Not much has changed. Today this 32-mile long, 3-mile wide dazzling lake draws vactioners who come to enjoy a plethora of outdoor endeavors including sailing, swimming, cruising on historic steamboats, hiking and more.

Wether you go for a car ride or a bike ride, its a great scenic trip. You can shop at outlets, sit at the beach, take a boat ride or even a horse drawn carriage ride, always makes for a great day!

There is so much to see and do. The lake is very clean and the people are friendly.Go for a boat ride or just sit on the beach and people watch.

Great historical sights, boats, and restaurants. The area does have alot of small businesses and mom and pop hotels. Some are kept up and others are well worn. This is why I could not give it an excellent. It was hard to find my young son food places that appealled to this challenges since he has food allergies. I wound up at McDonalds alot of times because of this..PS- I can't stand Mickey D's- I will go back- possibly in the fall of this year.
