For best view get a seat on the port side as they cruise the lake counterclockwise. The narrative can be heard everywhere and was just enough. We were not on a meal tour but there was food and drink to order at reasonable prices. Even if cold outside it was warm inside and the windows were pretty clean. If you have limited time take this cruise and get up to Fort Ticonderoga too.

Our boat ride exceeded our expectations. You travel close enough to the shore/islands so that you get great views, and the narration was clear, professional, and greatly added to our knowledge of Lake George. The ride was very smooth as well. For the best seats, sit on the port side of the ship as most of the narration will point out sights along that side. The staff was friendly and courteous, and we found the cost of this trip to be money well spent. If the weather is good, don't miss taking a Lake George Steamboat Company excursion while visiting Lake George.

A solid choice for an afternoon activity. Good indoor views for if it's cold, and the food wasn't bad.

A real treat! I took the foliage Islands exploration cruise this past Sunday. The best $26 I ever spent! This cruise is a must while in Lake George. The scenery is breathtaking and the narration is right on point. They have a really good selection of eats and drinks while cruising, at a very reasonable price. Great service too! The high point of my Lake George weekend to say the least.

We enjoyed the one hour cruise around the Lake on our trip to the Lake. The weather was not good because it was the first weekend of October and it was chilly and very misty. However, it was fun to ride on a paddle wheeler and pretend we were back in the early 1900s with the churning of the paddle wheel and the steam kaliope.

So four of us board the Lac du Saint Sacrement Sunday 10/21. Boarded 20 minutes before noon. Food and drink were already flowing!

Having done this cruise (brunch) before, I was not expecting much. Food that was Meh, but great ambiance and a heck of a view of the fall foliage.

Ambiance and the foliage did not disappoint....but the food was a pleasant surprise! The omelet station was manned by a very skilled chef who made us all wonderful creations. The fruit/danish table was nicely maintained and the group enjoyed their selections. The main buffet line had a wonderful salad bar selection (more salad dressing choices maybe?), as well as French toast, sausage, bacon, vegetables au gratin, breakfast potatoes (yum), chicken/sausage over rice, cod, and a carving station (ham). All was quite good, and we all left 2 hours later stuffed!

The boat, the staff (all top notch), and of course, the star of the show, the lake, made for a wonderful afternoon. Looking forward to next season!

the boat was nice ,we were seated in an area that you couldnt hear the nirration ,because the engine noise was very loud ,and we were behind a wall so we couldnt see what the nirrator was trying to tell you about , the food was good and the drinks were good
