First off...the above picture is not...I REPEAT...IS NOT...the Harbor Motel. I don't know how they can get away with a false picture? One good point...the owner was SUPER NICE! However...that does not make up for the condition of the entire property and room. There is junk all over the place. Old cars, boats...garbage...really gross. Our room was just as bad. The carpet had numerous stains and iron burns....really...the iron was left on the floor burning the rug. The double beds had linens that were wafer thin and were probably as old as the site. The sheets were too small, they didn't even fit the bed properly. They would pull away from the mattress when sleeping and you will end up sleeping on a bare mattress in the morning. The pillows were maybe 4 inches thick...the worst pillows ever. The bathroom did have a new shower insert however the shower curtain was a dollar store special that was missing curtain rings and was torn and moldy. There were NO...I repeat...NO hooks or bars to hang anything in the bathroom. No shelf, not even a holder for the toilet paper! The paper was sitting on the side of the bathtub. The tiled floor was gross...so you had to put your "sandpaper" hand towel down because there was no bath mat. The grout had not been cleaned in years. The was a gap at the bottom of the walls to the floor...no molding to cover the gap. They give you a miniature bar of soap with one small towel, one hand towel, and one wash cloth. The towels were so rough, you could exfoliate with them...not to mention they were left on the bed because there was no place at all to put them in the bathroom. They leave 4 plastic drink cups....unwrapped. Then when you leave one on the side of the bathroom sink...they throw them out and don't leave more. The walls were painted with two different shades of blue...not accent colors...spots where they repaired the wall and painted that spot. Also..there were NO curtains. One small window that had a white, dollar store window shade. Lastly...the "closet" to hang clothes was a wood pole with 3 wire hangers that were left by previous guests. One even had a cover for a dry cleaning service in a town south of this place.
If you look this place up on Google Maps Street View...it has a blue framed sign that says "Motel" in red letters...the pool is left of the office which is a front pointed building. The property is this front building (office only) and the buildings directly behind the office and far back building on the left.
We had friends who paid 4 dollars more up the road and their room was amazing! This place makes the Super 8 look like the Waldorf Astoria! NEVER AGAIN will we stay here!
