We have been staying in Room 19 since 2004. The price has gone up over $100 a year for the week stay. Yes, they have done some upgrades. New pool and siding on the cabins, but... what about the broken toilet seat for 7 years? The Ice Machine is broken and the overall outside atmosphere is terrible. The owner not once said Good Morning and when we checked out, we were not asked how our stay was. The one housekeeper left due to stress and there is only 1 left to take care of all the rooms.

We came up from the city for the fourth of July weekend. There was a new pool put in with fountains that are just beautiful. The room we were in was very spacious for the price we paid. The bathroom was redone and the staff was friendly. for a last minute vacation we certainly lucked out. we did not have to move our car once since we were right in the village. And the fireworks in the village were spectacular. We will be back!!!!!!

We went for the first time at Lake George and stayed at O'Sullivan Hotel. We were having room 42, which was having 2 comfortable Queen beds, TV and we really enjoyed the fridge. I haven't brought my laptop, so I'm not sure if WiFi comes in.
Also, the hotel allows Pets and I'm not sure the rooms having the pets are as good as the other. A personal advice is to keep pets at home with someone else when going in an hotel, it's always a 'not sure' when you have kids and they meet someone else's pet who runs out of a room unattached. I've heard of too many incidents involving pets in hotels...
The floors were carpet and our kids neither then us weren't having problems with it. Some stains but the floor was clean. The shower was good (pressure and temp). The towels were a bit rough but fine. There were no hair dryers nor Irons for the clothes. There were no coffee machine neither. There`s a little table where we ate our breakfast and the room size was somewhat OK. We enjoyed the pool and the narrow beach.
As an hotel is normally not where you spend your holiday, the location of it is great, right in the end of the village we could walk to everywhere. We could hear the neighbours when they arrived, but everyone was civilized and we enjoyed our stay.
The things we did on our stay: Six Flags park (Great Escape and SplashWater) at 25 min from hotel, beach on Lake George, some Golfing at the Top Of The World golf at 20 min from the hotel, great views, then lots of things to do in the village (orchestra, lots of shops, restaurants, arcades, mini-golf, kids attractions), parks for the kids to play in.
We could sense a lot of Irish inspiration in the village which makes it particular !
The O'Sulliva hotel is a good place to stay due to it's location in the village, and the rooms are ok for the price. Then it's a matter of your neighbours if they scream or not !
I would recommend this place for that kind of trip.

This "motel" is the dirtiest place I have seen in the longest time. I was weary of it so I brought my own bedding and towels. Thank good ness. Their towels are so rough that they are not even good at wiping the bathroom counter. We had to check out immediately since our kids were suffering from bed bug bites and some other rash from being in the room. Not to mention, they both had coughs from the time we entered the room to the time we left. Both were fine once we left there. Management does not care and will not respond to any telephone messages to clear up any account settlements. Horrible horrible place to stay and even worse customer service. Save yourself the hassle and just don't go to Lake George if you can't afford to stay in a nice place like the Fort Henry William Resort or the Holiday Inn. Their beach was so dirty and lousy as well. It was so small and the chairs were so old that they had mold on them. Pets are allowed but owners don't keep them on leashes so guard yourself and your children diligently. The pool was also dirty. They don't clean it often. Worst part is smoking is allowed at the pool so be prepared to inhale secondhand smoke and have potential lung cancer one day. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY. It would be more fun to drown than stay here.

I stayed with my husband, 1 year old son, and small dog and this was by far the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. The floors had obviously not been cleaned for quite some time. Since we checked in late, I didn't get to see the shower/tub. In the morning I discovered a shower with crumbling tile falling off the walls and black mildew from floor to ceiling. When I went to complain, I was told by the manager that since I had a pet and a child I should not expect a good room. Sadly, the room was so bad, it should not have been rented to anyone. If this was the only hotel available in Lake George, I would skip visiting that town and move on to somewhere else in the Adirondacks.

We had to stay at this hotel because we have a dog that must come with us. It's pretty much the only pet-friendly hotel in the area.

We paid extra for a pet-friendly "cabin" and for the pet fee. With tax it was about 200 per night.

The entire exterior of the property is in disrepair. The landscaping is nothing more than overgrown weeds. The pool looked so small and dirty we didn't even go there. The beach was really tiny and with all the people smoking we didn't even bother. People were smoking all over the place, leaving cigg. butts. The night lighting is very poor but that didn't keep other guests from partying, playing basketball, etc. all night.

Our "cabin" was a tiny little shack. The door stuck to badly it took allot of effort just to open and close it. All the screens on the windows were torn so you couldn't open a window. The drapes were very old and didn't fit the windows. Some of them were taped to the wall and the window that had the air-conditioning unit in it in the bedroom had no upper shade so we had to use a towel for privacy. Two of the lights in the cabin didn't work. The carpet was old and filthy. The laminate floors in the "kitchen area" and the bathroom were filthy and had dog hair from previous owners. The furniture was old, worn and dirty. The kitchen area had a frig/stove/sink unit that was very old and there was a cuppoard with dishes up above that were very gross.

The pillows on the bed smelled really old and we didn't even know the last time the bedspread had been washed. The window air conditioner was very old, smelly and didn't work well. The tables were dusty and fimly. The towels in the bathroom were so thin and tiny it was laughable. You could barely move around in the place and we were so uncomfortable for so many reasons.

We steped in other people's dog poop two different times, gross! We always pick up our dog's poop and were very upset other people didn't have the same respect.

The only good thing is we could have our dog with us and it was right in downtown Lake George. Next year we're going to find a private home to rent, even if we have to pay 400 a night!
