There's not a lot to do here, but the views are worth the trip to the top. It can be a bit chilly at the top as well, depending on when you go, so pack a jacket.

I took my son there for the first time this year and he absolutely loved it. It offers sensational views of Lake George, and is a great spot to spend a little time away from it all.

As part of our Adventure Tours of Warren weekend trip to Lake George, we took the motor coach to the top of Prospect Mountain. The roadway winds up and up, taking hairpin-type curves until well-marked stops are encountered. We liked the view from lot 2, but views from several vantage points were spectacular. We could see the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the Catskill Mountains of New York...simply splendid!

At one time, a fine hotel sat on this peak - Prospect Mountain House...all that remains is a chimney and the gears from the cable system used to bring people to the top. Price for access to the top is $10 per car and $50 per motor coach. Port-O-Johns are available behind a screen on the rocks at the top. Take about 1-2 hours to explore from start to finish.

I highly recommend a visit here.

This area has great scenic views, but it costs money to just drive up it. It is really prettty though.
