This hike was somewhat challenging, as it was quite rocky on the trail and a steep, uphill hike all the way. It took us almost 1.5 hours to make the climb, but we were glad we did, as the view was breathtaking. The walk back down when much faster, about 55 minutes.

really enjoyed the views, went to the summit, walked the last 200 yards to the top, was great. Makes for some great picture taking. There are a lot of spots to stop and take in the views, picnic tables and historic artifacts. $10.00 for a car load, "worth It"

Easy to drive by and miss this wonderful break from the general touristy-ness of the town. $10.00 fee per car (not per person) goes towards supporting the NYS Parks system which helps maintain wild spaces in the state. Nice drive, great views. At the top there is a 5 minute bus ride to the top and you can take a short hike through the woods back down to your car. Beautiful views at the top which allow you to see the entire Lake George and you can see into Vermont and beyond as well. Very peaceful.

There are always a lot of people up here. Scenic, but there are better place to hike in the adirondacks.
