First time staying at a Hampton Inn and was happy with the choice. Easy check in, nice lobby, and the rooms were clean. Not sure if the hotel is new but it felt like it. Didn't get that yucky feeling of some hotels were you don't want to lay on top of the bed. Breakfast downstairs was plentiful and most convenient. My husband wasn't crazy about the powdered eggs but was happy with the Gander Mountain store across the street! Not much for setting, on a busy main road but it was convenient for us on our foilage trip.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and quite, contained flat-panel plasma TVs, a microwave, and a mini-fridge. The free breakfast had a large selection of items to choice from. Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices were available 24 hours a day in the lobby. There is a Taco Bell, Dunkin Donuts and a huge CVS in the parking lot. The hotel is close to a couple of restaurants and shopping centers.

First, I love Hampton Inn. We stayed here 3 nights and used it for local touring. This is great if you are going to Old Rhinebeck Air Show. The director of sales and marketing walked around talking to everyone and the employees made you feel right at home and really encouraged the use of the dining area other than for breakfast. They recommended great restaurants and other things to do when it rained. We used the pool. The hotel is up to Hilton standards and very new and clean.

This hotel is in the perfect location. Tons of Restaurant and shopping right up the road, right off the highway. The rooms were sparkling clean, beds were comfy as always. The staff is top-notch. EXCELLENT hospitality. We enjoyed our 2 nights there and will DEFINITELY stay again. Do yourself a favor and stay here when you are in Kingston NY or anywhere nearby.

I've spent a lot of time in the Hudson Valley, having rented several houses & stayed at various B&B's. This was my first stay at a 'chain' hotel in the area, and I had some trepidation: much of the area is run-down and depressed - plus, this stretch of Kingston is dominated by several big-box stores. But this Hampton Inn is one of the best I've stayed in, anywhere in the US. I'm a regular business traveler & a Hilton points-collector, so I'm familiar with the brand. And again, I think this hotel is outstanding and a great value.

My husband and I were going to Woodstock, NY to see the black crowes play a show and decided to stay at the Hampton Inn in Kingston based on tripadvisor reviews. I can say I am glad we did! Everything was great from the staff behind the counter who helped us with directions to our room with the king sized bed that was sooooo comfy! The room was clean and big, we used the workout room which was nice, and the breakfast in the morning was great. The woman staffing the breakfast even brought over some eggs to our table personally because she knew we were waiting for them to finish cooking. The location of this hotel is great because there are a lot of things nearby (fast food, shopping, grocery store, etc) and there is a CVS I think or something similar and a dunkin donuts right within walking distance. There are also a few banks along the main road near the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. I requested a room in the front of the building because of the train that passes in the back at night and we got it.. never heard a train the entire night and slept like a baby!
