Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. We had reserved a table for 4 on a Friday night and were seated promptly. The wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and the food was amazing! The bouillabaisse (which is served every Friday) was truly delectable and included New Zealand cockles, white gulf shrimp, and sea scallops; the steak was cooked to perfection. The only difficulty is choosing among so many wonderful menu items. I have eaten here several times and will definitely return.

Rack of Lamb was so fatty it was inedible. Scallops Au Poivre had no poivre. Really? Don't bother. Save your money.

We visited the Kingston City Marina for the 4th of July celebration and went to Ship to Shore for dinner on that day. They were very busy and even had tables for dinner in the closed street. We ate inside because of the heat outside and hoped for a delicious meal. I had the tuna steak which was a low grade of tuna, was only about the size of the palm of my hand and 1/2 inch thick. It came with sugar snap peas and steak fries. The tuna had no flavor, there were 6 pea pods and there was a generous serving of fries. It cost $28- way overpriced for the quality. My review would have been 2/5 based on this meal.
I would give a 0/5 if I could, on the overall experience based on my husband's meal. He ordered seafood over linguine. When the meals were placed in front of us, a stench of rotting flesh filled our nostrils. In fact, the 2 tables next to us turned their heads towards us and said "pwew". The waitress asked us how everything was about 30 seconds later and I told her that we hadn't tasted anything yet but that something smelled really bad. She didn't return for 15 minutes- she was in another room. I smelled and tasted my tuna and it was not that that smelled bad. My husband was very upset but wouldn't discuss if his mussels were OK. He actually ate several of them. One of the couples in the same room (we didn't know them) came to us and asked if the seafood was no good. Finally, my husband admitted that they were "freaking rotten". They were not just unfresh or even "a little questionable"- They were rancid and smelled like chicken that's been in a garbage can for 3 days. When the waitress returned, she took the food away and offered him another meal. He was very upset and sick and refused. She said that dessert would be on the house but he said that we just wanted to pay our bill and leave. He ate 1/2 of my meal and had a slice of pizza from a street vender for dinner.
They didn't charge us for anything, even the tuna, which we wanted to pay for, but serving rotting food is dangerous and totally unacceptable. Every person that was in that kitchen, from the person that went to the cooler to get these mussels, to the chef, to the waitress knew that they were rotten and decided to serve them anyway. Do not go to a restaurant that puts profits above safety.

Four of us ate at Ship to Shore this past Tuesday. My husband had the salmon. He judges ALL salmon by the salmon here. My son had the noodle bowl which was filled with scallops and lobster dumplings. My son's girlfriend had a quinoa salad. Healthy and yummy. Our meals were just delicious! Our waiter, Joel, was especially attentive which made our experience even better. Now if they just had a little bit better beer selection......
