“The Worst Restaurant with the Best View”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

We went there once, and the only thing that was worse than the food was the horrendous service, and this was at a very non-busy time. Beautiful view, but you can get that outside for free!

“The owners are in desparate need of respect for their customers and the canned food has to go or close it down.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Went to dinner on a beautiful summer afternoon. What a total disapointment. French onion soup was nothing more then oil in hot water with onion flavoring, a few pieces of chopped onion and mozzerella floater. Prime rib was so tough the knife had a hard time cutting through. The mashed potatoes are instant, string beans mushy as if they were prepared in the morning and left cooking all day. Old pieces of duct tape barely held a few of the dacor and skylight together, uncomfortable to say the least. This family has no doubt overstayed their welcome at this site. The somewhat positive reviews above must come from family members. After returning the rubberized prime rib, we began to be harrassed by a little arrogant old man. At first, he sounded angry and started speaking with disrespect in front of our ladies. There was no need to use foul language. Afterall, people should refuse and return pitiful food but these folk followed us out the door screaming in the street about how good their food is! Then, to boot, the chef comes out the side door threatening everyone in out party. Never again. On a scale of one to ten, I rate The Old Dock Inn at a MINUS 11...

“A diner on the water”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Everything about this place needs to be updated. Went on a Saturday night on a beautiful spring evening. First time in about five years. Was hoping for some changes, but was disappointed...nothing changed. Dining room was maybe 1/3 full, and bar had some regulars. Food isnt awful, it's just not good. Heavily buttered, frozen vegetables, instant mashed potatoes, canned gravy...fish was OK, but nothing to draw you to this place. Decor is terrible. I'm not talking it needs a million dollar makeover, just get rid of the fake plastic plants, bad seats, and fix what needs to be fixed. Then create a compelling menu that matches the great location. This has got to be one of the few spots on the north shore that is directly on the water...but its being wasted. To the owners: please fix this place or sell it to someone who is willing to fix it.

“Old Dock Delight is always good.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

We love the seafood here. Try the old dock delight. It's got fresh fish, scallops, shrimp, crab legs and lobster. Great every time. The dining room needs a makeover, but the place is worth going to.
