We spent three lovely nights in the family room at Domaine des Agnelles in September 2012. The property is welcoming - it felt great as soon as we arrived - and the owners are very welcoming and helpful.
The family room was very spacious with everything we needed. The kids had a separate bedroom, so it was more like an apartment without the cooking facilities.
The breakfasts were lovely, and we also had the Table d'Hote on the night we arrived which was delicious, friendly and good value.
The Domaine is in a huge old house with lots of room to relax indoor and outdoors. There is free wifi downstairs and outdoors, and a guest computer.
My kids fell in love with the swings hanging from a beautiful old tree in the courtyard. They also enjoyed the table soccer and ping pong table.
It is a good base to explore the area, within an hour of Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi (we hired a boat at Le Somail which is very close by), amazing Cathar castle ruins and Narbonne. You definitely need a car, as there is nothing much in Villedaigne itself, but there are good dinner options in Narbonne and in Lezignan Corbieres nearby, including a really good takeaway pizza place that we opted for one night.

Room Tip: The family room was great but the apartments and other rooms looked really good too.

We have been in the family room for 9 days. If you get a room you get breakfast: good breakfast. In an apartment you have to make your own breakfast or pay extra to get breakfast. The family room is roomy and has a connected extra bedroom for the kids. This room only has a small room window.

Villedaigne itself is boring, but carcassonne and Narbonne with the beach are close by. Also Canal du Midi is beautiful and there are plenty of wineries too, but you need to have car though... The house itself is gorgeous, and there is a large cour to sit, relax, swim etc. This winter the old small pool will be replaced by a bigger one.

Micky is a great cook so do register for the Table d'hotes! Both Micky and Roger are great hosts and it is impressive to see what Roger made the house into. Refurbishing he does himself and he does it right.

Only downside was that it was really hot inside, when we were there. The family room had a mobile airco which was really noisy but better then nothing. It was extremely hot that week with day temps of 38 and night temps of 26 degrees, without wind, so this might not be a problem with regular temps.

Other downside will be that this place is so nice that most visitors return. It will be fully booked very quickly....

We've spent one night in this hotel and loved it so much that we decided to change our route a bit to have the opportunity to stay there for 2 more nights.
The Domaine is situated in a small village surrounded by vineyards in just a 10 minutes drive from Narbonne.
The house itself is absolutely beautiful with a lot of antiques picked out tastefully and giving the impression of living in an ancient estate.
The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and included everything a traveler can need.
Breakfast served outdoor in summer was various and fresh.

The hotel owners are hospitable and willing to make your stay comfortable and pleasant.
If we ever come to this region again, for sure we will choose Domaine des Agnelles.

To be honest we've never been a big fan of B&B's, but our stay here totaly changed my opinion. These people make you feel like you are staying with family in their home. The couldn't have been any nicer or accomidating. Our rooms were very nice and as you can see from other reviews the bathrooms were very large. Quite a contrast from european hotels. Breakfast was always very good and the optional dinner was a wonderful experience. One warning, no air conditioning, We were there in very warm weather and our room with a fan was quite comfortable for sleeping. This is a place to go back to.

Room Tip: A room away from the street would be quieter

It was a last minute's booking for me, and I found I was really lucky, not the least disappointed. My room (chambre Moutarde) looked even nicer than on the photos, and the bathroom is a place to see and enjoy! A very comfortable stay, added with "people who know what they do" as hosts, as another comment said. It's a good place for children as well, as there's an outdoor swimming-pool, different outdoor games + the company of the couple's two daughters ! Breakfast is full and plenty (with Fresh homemade bread, homemade marmelade..). I had booked a "table d'hôte" meal; It was as if it came from one of the best restaurants in matter of look, creativity, and taste. The couple sitting next to me made some photos of the different dishes served!
It is well situated as well: Narbonne, Sigean are at a good 20 mns' away. Obviously, it is a place I would recommend.

These people know what they are doing.
First of all you are offered a nice drink from the house to unwind. Then they show you your room, which was beatifully decorated with period furniture. Not everything was antique but it was all a perfect match. Breakfast is served in a nice area and when it is Summer in the beautifull garden. The garden is more like a park with a nice swimming pool.
The location is spot on to visit Carcasonne, Narbonne, Bezier. But Perpignan and Montpellier are less than an hours drive.

Do not hestitate if you want to stay here, the rooms and appartments are much more beutifull in reality. Perfect for Romantic Couples but also for families.
When we are in this part of France again this is were we will be.
