The hospitality was great! Laurie and George had lots of hiking and dining advice. They prepared a wide selection of items for breakfast (oatmeal bar, scrambled eggs, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, home made muffins, breakfast breads and spreads, milk, oj, coffee, and a tea bag selection) and encouraged us to eat up to fortify ourselves for the trail. We were encouraged to help ourselves to extra towels from the laundry if we needed them. Had we wanted to hit the trail before breakfast was served, our hosts would have seen to it that we had bagels and such available earlier.
The guest refrigerator in the kitchen was helpful for storing our sandwich-making supplies. The common rooms were welcoming. The rooms were clean and neat, although a bit shabby. No a.c., but it wasn't needed during our July visit. Open windows and the pedestal fan kept the room sufficiently cool. There was plenty of hot water available. I found the pillowtop mattress comfortable, but my husband longed for our waterbed.
No t.v. (yea!), but the wifi worked fine. I recommend that you don't leave valuables in your room, since security is lax.More
