My wife and I stayed here for three nights. I agree with everything in the very positive reviews. Amy and Wayne are lovely down-to-earth people who give detailed tips on what hikes to take, where to eat for supper, what places to see. The Snow Goose is clean and pretty. Two things I would stress: first, this lodging is an affordable bargain for what you get. Second, the Keene Valley/Keene area is an extraordinary mountain locale. When you're here, make sure to take the drive from Elizabethtown West on 9N to Route 73. It's not far from the Snow Goose, and it has to be one of the most scenic 10 to 15 minute stretches of road in the country. Also, Baxter is a perfect 2.2 mile hike to wonderful views. Amy will tell you how to get there. (It's on that same stretch of road!)

We loved our too brief stay at the Snow Goose. Amy and Wayne are wonderful hosts who fed us well and who had great recommendations for hikes and restaurants.

Our room was spacious and clean and we had a hammock outside our front door. We stayed in the room with a small kitchen, which was very handy to store snacks and beverages and make tea in our room Although right off of a main road, it was a quiet spot and only minutes to Keene Valley.

The bed & pillows aren't as comfortable as our own but we had a very relaxing and restful stay.

This is the place! We've come back 2 years in a row and I am already looking forward to summer 2013:) It's such a comfortable, lovely, welcoming home. It truly feels like home. Amy & Wayne are fantastic. It's clean, beautiful & close to tons of hiking & gorgeous nature. Keene is so close with loads to do there, too. Don't think twice...book it now!

Room Tip: They are all great! You won't be disappointed!

My wife and I passed our 20th wedding anniversary here. Our room was passages on the second floor and was very comfortable and clean. Amy is a marvelous host although I believe she is a vegetarian and served no meat at breakfast. She also directed us to a good, healthy, organic restaurant. We will definitely stay here again.

An expansive covered porch with adirondack chairs greets you as you arrive at this lovely B&B. Amy, the hostess, is warm & friendly and tries to make you feel right at home. Our room, Passages, was newly renovated & exuded charm. It included a king size bed with sleep number controls, an electric fireplace, refrigerator & comfortable seating. The breakfasts were delicious with very good coffee with huge cups to enjoy it in. After hiking we would enjoy a glass of wine & a cold beer with a good book on the great porch with a little birding thrown in. They are booked well in advance so call early.

My wife and I (both from Belgium, Europe) stayed at Snow Goose for 5 nights the first time we were visiting the Adirondack area. We were asked for our food and our dietary preferences when we booked months before our stay and they were taken into account. Amy served excellent pancakes and home made muffins! Breakfast was also an excellent opportunity for interesting discussions with the other guests, in our case people from Canada, Scotland, Austria and USA. Amy gave us a warm welcome and plenty of information/advice on what to do, where to have dinner, etc. The large room was excellent with a great bed and a marvellous bathroom, and room service was perfect. The B&B is very well located for hiking the many trails in the High Peaks. When we return this will be our home base again. Thanks again Amy and Wayne!

My husband and I stayed at Snow Goose for the first time as we were driving through the area. When we booked the room we were asked for our food preferences so they could plan breakfast for our stay. Months later, after forgetting this, I was surprised to see that our preferences were taken into account. What a great touch. Amy was welcoming to us on our visit. She offered dinner recommendations, she had information on area activities and showed us around. The room was very nice, the homemade soap and fantastic towels really made it. Thanks Wayne and Amy!
