Pretty nice place to stay if you have to be close to JFK. Clean rooms, helpful staff, decent breakfast, free shuttle to the airport. Bit expensive, but hey - it's New York. Wouldn't mind staying there again.

With all of the storms, my boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to stay overnight near the airport so as not to miss our flight due to traffic, snow, etc. We had a little trouble getting to the actual street it was on, but finally got there with no other problems. The room was small but clean. There were no water glasses in the room, so to take my allergy meds we had to buy water from the vedning machine. Most of the TV stations were fuzzy but we were only staying for literally 7 hours. My only issue was with the bed. Both of us were up almost all night, as the mattress felt like a piece of plywood placed on 100-year-old springs. I like to think I'm not fussy but that bed was painful. But for one night to catch my plane on time, it was worth it. We slept on the plane, anyway.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Your feedback is extremely important to us in addressing guest complaints. We appreciate the genuine thoughts and the matter has been discussed with our Chief Engineer as well as our Housekeeping Manager. We have now commenced an internal inspection to thoroughly check mattresses more frequently in seeking to correct this matter. Provide us another chance and we'll seek to ensure that your stay next time will be nothing short of a totally satisfactory one. Again, thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon the next time you are in the area visiting New York City.

With taxes, a room near JFK Airport easily costs me at least $160...I prefer to stay nearby the night before an early flight. At first I did Priceline bids for this stuff but Days Inn prices are usually below $90 +
Tax AND they have a free Airport Shuttle. The hotel is SAFE, CLEAN, GREAT FOR ME! The rooms are small but it's clean and cozy and that's all I care about. Days Inn/JFK is my new "go to spot" when taking early jetBlue flights!!! Pleasant staff too!!!

We ended up at this hotel after calling around from JFK at midnight, after dealing with a cancelled flight and missing baggage. They were very accommodating in finding us something and gave us directions to get to their shuttle (which was indeed waiting where they said).

That said, we were in a room right off of the lobby and could hear the front desk clerk watching TV all night and chatting with the security guard. But, the bed was clean (and looked to be bedbug free), the bathroom was clean and it was a place to sleep until we could head back to JFK in the morning.

Bottom line: if you're looking for somewhere to overnight near JFK, this will fit the bill...but I don't think I could have stayed longer than one night.

The hotel is nearish the airport , there is a free shuttle bus which runs hourly between the airport and the hotel however the shuttle bus stops at several other hotels before it reaches the days inn so be careful as the one you want may be full by the time it reaches days inn. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial area with absolutely nothing to do in the local area however my room was clean and of a good size. Breakfast was very simple and there are a few takeaways which deliver to the hotel if you are wondering about dinner. If you are planning on travelling into new york then you need to get the shuttle bus to the airport and then the airtrain to whatever subway or long island station you are going to. This can add another 20mins and extra financial cost to your journey ! so bear that it mind.
